@Red Wings de Détroit

Je suis tombé sur ce graphique de MoneyPuck aujourd’hui. Ville Husso a-t-il vraiment chuté si mal cette saison, ou les statistiques ne reflètent-elles tout simplement pas son jeu global?

  1. He hasn’t been as good, but our defense as per usual hasn’t helped

  2. Wheresthesass

I think he’s feeling a little burnout from playing so many games, plus him facing a lot of quality shots in that time (team’s not doing him or Hellberg any favors in that regard).

  3. CalgaryCheekClapper

Hes been pretty average this year. Fans just overrate him because we are so used to dogshit goalies. Also he tends to either play really well or really bad

  4. Shotokanguy

He’s done his job, this just isn’t a good team.

  5. xenonwarrior666

He’s really fallen off due to being overplayed.

    That’s just my opinion though.

  6. justin34berg

Hes fine. MVP of the team this year imo. Team will never have a statistically great goalie until they are better

  7. Wakattack00

He hasn’t been as great as he was earlier in the year. If anyone saw the stat card from yesterday’s game, our players didn’t play very bad defensively at all, but still gave up 5 goals. Just gotta get him a reliable partner to split some time with him.

Everything I’ve ever seen from MoneyPuck suggests their models and numbers are garbage. Husso is fine at worst. The Red Wings just did the same thing as last year where they did not get a second goalie who is even remotely playable, so they keep burning him out.

Number job for Stevie this summer has to be a 2nd goalie. I understand there are multiple other holes, but solidifying the net can impact a team’s performance more than anything, especially when there’s a depletion of top end talent on the D and F groups.

His first month was an aberration I feel, but he’s pretty decent overall. Not a guy I’d want to be my number 1 for a Cup run, but he’s a good tandem goalie.

We thought Ned was a god last year. Husso is really good. With better teams I think both do better stay wise. I also think there are better goalies.

  12. AKchaos49

Defense has been quite shitty lately. Lots of guys standing around watching instead of playing D.

  13. Troub313

This team would make Vasilvesky look like an average goaltender.

  14. Husso has been a very mixed bag I feel. Lots of great games. Others where he certainly isn’t helping the team win. He’s also playing a ton which I don’t think helps.

Lol Reimers name is rainbow colored 😂

  16. cbhmark

Reimer’s name posted in rainbow is hilarious.

  17. CaptainCastle1

Not worried! Can’t ask a dude to carry a team from the crease the entire season without some wear and tear. Especially with the way the defense has been

  18. aDayvanCowboy

his GSAX/60 is more favorable (still not great), he’s just played a lot of games

  19. jaroomba

This stat doesn’t appear to be adjusted for per 60 or games played, so pretty meaningless since he’s played almost twice as many games as most of the other tenders on this list.

As the season has gone along, the Wings have been scoring less and giving up more. Less margin of error in games.

In first 20 games of season, Husso was .919% and 2.39 GAA. Wings scored 3.36 goals/game and gave up 2.50 goals/game in his games.

In next 20, Husso was .889% and 3.58 GAA. Wings scored 3.21goals/game and gave up 3.43 goals/game in his games.

Last 28, Husso was .897% and 3.00 GAA. Wings scored 2.86 goals/game and gave up 3.09 goals/game in his games.

Combination of scoring less, the team giving up more goals, and Husso playing most games in his career as the season went along.

  21. MajorasShoe

Yeah, he’s gone downhill. Most goalies do on flailing teams. Losing culture has long since dominated this franchise. This season was a step towards kicking it, but every bad loss sets us back.

This is why the tank ended, regardless of the draft quality, it’s time to fix the culture. But until it is, I wouldn’t expect a goalie to come here and play their heart out all season for a team that is deflated.

  22. MajorasShoe

James Reimer lmfao I love that for him

  23. MightyBosskTones

He’s also played the most games on this list…so…

  24. Rattus__

I think his play has remained about the same. he’s solid. The team has gotten worse around him though.

  25. Strypes4686

He’s likely burnt out….. and some of those goals were a result from defensive lapses. On a team like Boston or Carolina he’s a lock for the Vezina.
