Evander Kane is a wild animal that is out of control and needs to be stopped by Gary Betman, the league needs to sit down and decide if we want this player representing our game….. He high sticks Bunts in the face, takes a penalty and that triggers him to attack Bunting? So he hits you in the face with his stick injuring you and gets enraged about getting caught so he violently attacks you? Sound very similar in nature to the time when got caught fixing games to win gambling money in California and got enraged when he got caught and traded as far away from California as possible…. Or when he got enraged and attacked his girlfriend….. or when the millionaire went bankrupt living the baller rapper lifestyle…. Get this thug out of the league already….. Evander acted like a thug in California and I’m sure he was about the thug life off the ice too… he probably hung around the Compton area with gang bangers and Sharks management noticed what a creep he was so they sent him to Edmonton… anyways that thug is out of control and should be expelled from the league…. Good game Willy, JT, Mitch and Matt’s, nice goals…..Good game Matt’s I like the physical play on Connor, but it wasn’t out of control like Evander is…. The police should have walked on the ice and arrested Evander for that vicious attack…. Matt’s I think you should lose the silver chains. It’s drawing too much attention to you, it’s too flashy, and I want you to be able to disappear and then score like last season….. it’s hard to disappear when you’re wearing shiny things….. also, those chains are just weighing you down and I want you to be as light as possible, every gram counts…. Hockey is not a flashy sport, I think player’s target you for being flashy as in they don’t want the flashy guy to score…. I think some humbleness will put you in some defensive players good graces, so I’d prefer if you just blend in with the other players, you’re a good looking guy you don’t need chains to impress anyone….. yeah, going forward I don’t wanna see the silver chains in the playoffs, so leave the jewelry at home, thank you for your understanding…. Murray…. Good game you made a lot of important saves…. A bit of tuning up is in order, i’d like to have you one on one with a goalie coach I don’t think you need to practice with the entire team but I’d like you to do some one on one practice in a vacuum to get your head in the right place for playoffs…. but you had a good game overall but I think the first 2 goals you could have stopped…. But easy for me to say from the sofa…. other than that we out shot the Oilers we had way more chances in close, and we had way more passes in front of their net they did not have the same quality chances or the same amount of shots we had they were having trouble getting passes in front of our net so I think we do have an advantage over the oilers come playoffs time…. I wasn’t expecting the Oilers to bring this level of intensity today. I was hoping for an easy game and that was definitely a playoff game and we proved we can win.

Damn guys, see how much fun it is when most of the team shows up to compete? Marner has been playing at another level for awhile now. Matthews had a hard assignment covering McDavid. Add in his goal and several chances and nothing to complain about with his game. In all, nice to see the pushback from our core with not giving up and taking the game to them.

Leafs have to find a way to double team guys like McDavid. We see top teams double team Matthews all the time. I realize this leaves a man open, but even the best teams only have a few snipers. It’s unrealistic to think the Leafs can score 5 or 7 goals in a playoff game
No one wants to address the elephant in the room. Matt Murray is a shaky and inconsistent goalie who will likely become a liability in the playoffs. Tonight the Leafs scored 6 goals and an empty netter, which was needed to overcome the 4 he let in.
Roster size constraints are lifted after the trade deadline and there is enough cap space, so there is no reason why Joseph Woll cannot join the goalie rotation. It would be a big mistake not to give Woll a few NHL games leading up to the postseason, especially considering how brutal that last part of the schedule is (8 games in 13 nights).

When a kid makes plays in peewee that no other kid on the ice can do. That's Marner. Now he's doing it at the NHL level.
Its funny seeing casuals praise mitch marner, they obviously only watch the highlights on youtube and not the full games. Marner is almost leading the league in turnovers and will set career highs this year in turnovers. also has 3 times more career turnovers than goals, and 2 times more turnovers than assists marner is an average player at best and every team knows it. yall be watching too many highlights and not enough full games. lmao
I've seen Murray play some excellent goal last year (mid-Jan to Feb) & some excellent games this year. Last night was not one of them. He made some really good saves, but 3 of Edmonton's 4 goals really can't go in. Ekholm, no chance. I've seen similar blasts get past all of the elite 'tenders in similar situations (covering the bottom of the net, shot either top corner) & almost unstoppable. The Kane wrap-around goal overplayed on the blocker side by Murray, resulting in his right leg getting caught on the post, leaving his push across 6 " short. Bad. The play on Draisaitl's PP goal was weird as half his left pad was in his net & he was waving his glove around, catching side facing the ice, on a shot that Draisaitl did not get all of on his one-timer, but was bungled by Murray regardless. Was he rusty? 3 goal posts & a cross-bar by Matthews (2), Nylander & Jarnkrok I believe, so with solid goaling by Matt, it could've been 9-1 actually. Not one of Edmonton's better games.
Imo the reason Matthew's has had a down year is because the media and fan base put way to much pressure on him to surpass what he did lastyear and it sucksd the joy out of the game for him. Now that he's come to terms that he's not going to finish with the same numbers hes playing alot loser and having fun again.

"Magic" Marner and Matthews are the Top G's. They are getting double shifted with 7-D. They are heating up leading into the playoffs. Matthews would of had close to 60 pucks this year, if it wasn't for his wrist injury.
Media questions are soooooo lame. "Is that a momentum changing goal?" What's tavares supposed to say? "No, actually when marner scored that were down in the pits ready to pack it in." Like wtf?
I'm shocked he didn't take his stick out and assault every one in that room tbh.
