Lalonde said Fabbri may be able to return this season, but may get to point where they have to decide what’s more valuable: handful of games, or more time to rehab and train. He is skating though, so decision will come down to doctors

Not sure what to make of this, makes the injury seem way worse than the day to day label it had before.
This is kinda weird because we don’t need to know the injury, but being so cautious like this implies it is indeed related to his knee.
Why bother returning ? If there really is a chance that it could be that serious take the rest of the season.
I mean it’s not often people get 4-5 chances.
Doesn’t look great for Fabs though. Wish him all of the best.
Ehh let him rest proper and come back strong. Wings are out so no reason for him to return at this point. Mix in some kids in his spot instead.
Give him the rest:
1. Let him come back stronger next season.
2. Dood has an injury history. Why put any rush on it?
3. Honestly, the worse we are the rest of the season, the better chance we have to play Bedard spoiler.
4. Call up a kid or two for his spot. Another opportunity to get them a taste of the big league.
bruh, the season is over. Let him play PS5 in peace.
Time to move on from
This guy. He’s made of glass.
The Wings should shut him down for the year. These games are next to meaningless anyways.
Shut him down. He needs to rehab and train, so give him as much time as possible to do that. Rushing him back into a lost season makes no sense. I’m surprised they’re considering this at all.
One of my favorite red wings but I don’t see him playing to 32+
Doesn’t exactly sound like some minor injury like they played it up as.
Hate to say it, but his future NHL career is on limited, borrowed time. 4 major knee injuries in a handful of years, including 3 ACL surgeries. The game is just too demanding at any level, let alone the NHL, to have a long career with this level of injury history.
I wish him the best, and would hate to see him disabled for life just to try and continue playing with so many severe knee injuries. I hope I’m wrong, he returns next season, and has a long careers. But I’m skeptical. Definitely no need to rush him out there this season for no damn reason.
Nothing to gain with him coming back. Just sit out rest of the season. Be different if they were in or trying to get in playoffs but that is gone
