The Devils allowed four unanswered goals to the Florida Panthers NOT three. My bad I misspoke 😅
All I know is this…as a Devils fan since 82…I am also a HUGE Red Deer Rebels fan. I wrote to Fitz 3 times after every team stupidity passed over Brandon Hagel in the draft TWICE. John Madden qualities even a better scorer than MadDog. Chicago signs him and turns him into s#1 pick. How is he not a Devil??? Same goes for Ben King on Red Deer go look at him passed over in the draft once and he went middle rounds to Anaheim. Brent Sutter owns the team it should be a Devil's pipeline. They better be watching Kyle Kelsey in net for Red Deer. We will rue the day we traded Okhotyuk and Shakir…..Still waiting for V-Tech to turn into a pumpkin. …. I love Schmid more than him….we will be fine but too young to win a Cup….love our progress but you don't trade youg D like Okhotyuk…..Willie Mitchell anyone???
deff humbled but we came back and hopfully we win this last stretch of games beat out carolina and take 1st seed.
"Humbled" is the wrong way to put it. If they were on a 10 game winning streak and got wiped out by San Jose 4-0, then I'd say it was a humbling experience. But not losing to a team like TB. What it WAS, however, was a wake up to exactly what kind of adversity they can expect going into the playoffs, and that's a very valuable lesson to learn for a young team. We can only hope that they can get the chemistry flowing at peak performance asap so they can get some momentum heading into the playoffs and shake off the habit of having to play from behind nearly every game as that is going to wear them down before the post-season even starts.
To be fair, he did say "humbled a bit," and to me that is right, it wasn't like we got blown out in both home games, but it was definitely a reminder that they need to focus and stay locked-in against some of these teams like Tampa with so much playoff success.
