Go knights way to hang on for another win! Phil Kessel scored his second in 2 games with a nice breakaway goal early. Smith had an AMAZING one timer and extends his points streak up to 9 games. What a short side snipe from Blueger who finds his 5 point in 10 games wearing a VGK sweater! Pavel Dorofeyev continues his INCREDIBLE play with the team and gets his 6th point in 4 games. And Jonathan Quick played great and had some crucial saves that kept us in the game (especially in the 3rd period). He is now the second most winningest goalie born in America and improves to 5-1 as a VGK. Let’s keep this ball rolling
I still can’t stand that pseudo r&b intro Sportsnet uses. Hockey Night In Canada had the best music for years, especially the 90s version. I used to jam to “Shoot Out The Lights” before every Canucks game (the original version by the Carpet Frogs) and the electric guitar version of the HNIC theme got me pumped. Now Hockey music doesn’t do that anymore. I’m gagging before the game even starts. Goes great with the Canucks mediocrity. The only reason they’re doing anything now is Demko – and until this game, the lighter schedule. I can’t wait until the offseason when they can’t trade themselves out of being over the cap. They’ll need OEL to stay on IR for the rest of his contract like Shae Weber. The effort is there, but they just don’t have the back end or the grit. These seasons by Miller last year and Elias and Quinn this year are being wasted. Pettersson is having a Selke calibre season and it’s all for naught.
