Perron : « C’était extrêmement humiliant. Même aller sur la glace pour les échauffements, voir tous les signes, je n’ai jamais rien vécu de tel. J’ai dû me ressaisir. Tout le monde criait et frappait sur la vitre. Même en obtenant l’aide, vous entendez à nouveau les acclamations, puis la vidéo.
Perron: “It was extremely humbling. Even going on the ice for warm-ups, seeing all the signs, I’ve never experienced anything like that. I had to gather myself. Everyone was yelling and hitting on the glass. Even getting the assist, you hear the cheers again, and then the video.” pic.twitter.com/SHRxFv1l5H

[Perron on tribute: “Extremely special. It’s just a surreal moment that … I don’t think I ever thought I would get to this point. But these fans are unbelievable and it means a lot. I had to just try and stay composed for a bit there. Barely did it.”](https://twitter.com/jprutherford/status/1638381300875767808?s=46&t=Xn0juU2C4hEaElfmeGb4jQ)
[Perron cont’d: “(I was thinking) don’t cry, basically. All the memories from watching the video, from the start to now, having the chance to go through that with every single person that I encountered over the years was special.”](https://twitter.com/jprutherford/status/1638382135433129987?s=46&t=Xn0juU2C4hEaElfmeGb4jQ)
[Schenn on Perron: “He said after that he felt like Brett Hull or Bernie Federko, that he got a heck of an ovation.”](https://twitter.com/jprutherford/status/1638382995336830978?s=46&t=Xn0juU2C4hEaElfmeGb4jQ)
Love DP57
Retire his number after his next stint with the Blues
#FRENCHIE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
We need to get him back
Was incredibly fortunate to be there last night. Pre game was amazing. Everyone was yelling him as he skated his zone. He threw some pucks to kids near the glass before exiting. Was wonderful seeing it all.
We were there. It was incredible to see
Visiting Red Wings fan here. Every player on Detroit has nothing but great things to say about Perron as both an on ice player and locker room presence. I’m just guessing here but with how the Fabbri, Husso and Vrana deals went down (with the moves being about players getting into as a fortuitous situation as possible) I could see Doug Armstrong and Yzerman making a trade next year if the Blues retool goes as planned. I’d love to see Perron as a Red Wing as long as possible but I think he and the St. Louis fan base think of his a Blues player
Bring back my David Perron, Doug, you fucking bastard.
We shouldn’t have let him walk…
