I'm from the Chicago suburbs, I've been a hawks fan since I can remember, and the Hawks were doing very bad during my high school years. I graduated in 2006. And to see Rod Brind'Amour hoist the cup was just awesome. That guy fought tooth and nail and earned it. God damn that was great.
You gotta love all these butt hurt Buffalo fans with there excuses about injuries. Last time I checked we didn't have Eric Cole for that entire series. Arguably one of our best players. And BTW. Your best defensemen Brian Campbell was the one who shot the puck over the glass so stop crying. Its Buffalo. They never win anything.
As a Flyers fan my heart broke the day we traded Brind'Amour. However I was never more happy than this day when he got his cup. He was always my favorite player no matter what jersey he wore.
Kinda weird when u realize that the Hartford Whalers franchise won it (Carolina) and the Nordiques a few (as Colorado). Also weird that the old Cleveland Browns won a couple (as the Ravens).
