   Making clean hits now an instigation penalty would actually increase fights to draw an instigator penalty, and increase dirty hits because now clean hits are actually not really clean. A profoundly stupid idea.

   Fuck the ban on fighting. NHL has really looked at their sport and said “hmm we need more fans, how do we make it less appealing on every way possible”

   “Banner ads that constantly change all game + commercial breaks are the exact same”

   “Looks to ban or reduce fights”

   Like fuck off. The majority of that casual audience you want to fucking bad wants to watch for the fights.
