If the Wings were in the Pacific division we probably would be making the wild card cause the Atlantic is ungodly stacked, plus how long has Buffalo and Ottwas rebuild been going like 7 years, so no wonder there ahead
Buffalos rebuild has been happening since 2007, last time they won a playoff series. Ottawa has been rebuilding since 2017 when they lost in the conference finals, but realistically they were trash for several years before and several years after 2017. So yeah not realistic comparisons for detroits rebuild, which really didnt start until yzerman was hired and in his second or third year, after he dumped all the wasted pics by Holland and the 2008 team was completely gone. Redwings fans are spoiled brats, while these two franchises have never won a cup, detroit has won 4 in the last 26 years.

I still stand by what I wrote after we lost in the 2020 draft lottery: since we are fishing for great hockey talent, we should approach this like a fisherman. I have heard that fishermen need five things to be successful: patience, skill, patience, luck, and patience. We can trust Yzerman to bring the skill, so we fans just have to bring the patience, and then trust that four out of five will be good enough.
I love No.19 and always will. He's got my unwavering support! I trust his decisions. He obviously knows more about Hockey than I ever will or could in two lifetimes. This Wings team is going to be TOUGH!
