@Canucks de Vancouver

[Friedman] Je suis sous le choc lorsque John Garrett annonce que ce sera sa dernière saison à participer aux matchs régionaux des Canucks. Honnêtement, j’adore regarder cette équipe de diffusion.

Just when you thought this season couldn’t get any fucking worse.

    We’ll miss you, Cheech.

Grew up watching John and John… damn this sucks. Happy retirement Cheech! Thanks for all the memories

No way this can’t be true……I am despondent

Guess it’s time to roll Tom Larscheid out of the freezer

He was never given his props on sportsnet or cbc. The countless times they had to use one of the regional broadcast teams and they would go with one of the alberta duos for whatever reason. Cheech has what it takes for the national broadcast imo. His voice, insight and wit are top notch as well as his likeable humour

  9. Whoever made that list of best and worse team announcers jinxed us.

The season of bad news just keep piling on. It’ll concludes with the Canucks picking 12th.

I remember seeing Robson said he has a cigar and a bottle of scotch he is saving for when the Canucks finally win the cup.

I’m afraid he won’t live to see it, now wondering if Cheech might suffer the same fate.

    I was at the game.
    Feeling great.

Then I decided to check the game thread.

    Talk about a downer.

Honestly I’m a little more choked up then I feel like I should be. John & John have been a staple throughout pretty much my entire conscious life & I don’t think I’m ready for that to end

Come on man… you’re only supposed the retire AFTER the Canucks win the cup…

In all seriousness, I am saddened, and quite frankly, shocked to hear the news. John Garrett has been the voice of the Canucks for most of my life.

I wish him only the best for the future and retirement, and hope that the team will find a replacement who can at least somewhat fill this massive hole in the broadcasting team.

Tragedy. Garrett is the goat colour guy. There’s only one man for the job: Kevin Bieksa. Hrudey already does it for the flames, maybe they’d let Kevin do it for the Canucks.

    Robson. Larscheid. Hughson. Shorthouse. Garret.

Gonna be a big chair to fill with a very high bar

  17. gangstarapmademe

Cried during his announcement. Fuck man its hard growing up hearing someone for that many years and then have them retire.

  18. bwoah07_gp2

The coverage just won’t be the same…

  19. As a friend of another pair of saints once said:

What the fuckin’? Fuck? Who the fuck fucked this fucking?

  20. chesterfieldking
