It was nice of Elliotte to do his hair for the podcast today.
Are we talking 6, 7 or 8 yr rebuild? Hart is 24 he will be in his prime in 3 or 4 yrs. Unless they get this years 1st overall pick! They should keep him, goaltening has not been a Flyers strong suit for the last 30 yrs!

I could stop Ove, if I was running the penalty kill. Not too complicated. As for Coots – get him in there, even if, as you guys said, 5-7 minutes just to get his head right before off season. I also agree with you guys it should be 1-8. Screw the whole wild card thing.
I love that the young guys are getting a lot of important icetime and responding well. I think we have the players, but they need a little support. Let's just look at what we've got… Coots with Tippett and Konecny. Pretty solid top line worth 90-100 goals. Biggest issue seems to be health. You have Cates, Farabee, and Frost playing together and they have been looking pretty good. if they can continue to progress together they could be a good second line or more. Laughts is a highly skilled 3rd line center who you can put with anyone and have success, like Allison and Atkinson. Pretty good 3rd line, don't you think? Plus you have some other guys who are top 6 forwards on the team like Atkinson and JVR. There's some depth IF the young guys continue to progress and Coots/Konecny/Atkninson/Allison can stay healthy. Also pretty decent talent on defense as well… Provy, Sanheim, York, Ristolainen, DeAngelo, Seeler, Zamula… plus Ellis of course. I just want to know where we are improving the talent enough to make a difference. I mean, why pay a 2nd line center first line money (like Hayes)? You improve the team, but you hurt the team in the long run by overpaying for what you are using a guy for. If I knew JVR wasn't going to be a top line LW, I wouldn't have paid him so much. Hayes I just never would have paid so much for.
