You're allowed to hit someone who touches the puck, it's not late. On the other hand…punching defenseless players should be encouraged and routine practice in the NHL

So let me see if got this straight. Bergeron tries to play the puck coming out of corner, while looking right after missing puck he turns left into Pitlick, who was about to lay a hit on him and takes a solid check. The time from playing the puck to hit was one second, but people are yelling it wasn’t necessary. But according to nhl a reverse hit is ok if 2 players are playing the puck, or following thru a check is ok after the player has cleared the puck. Clearly the video shows him turning into the hit.

Marchand has always been elite. Its kind of funny watching everyone slowly accept more recently. Most people hated him so they wouldnt admit it, but the dude is an amazing hockey player

What kind of moron are you. If this had been Arber Xhekaj instead of Rem Pitlick, mini-mite Marchand would have done nothing. These immediate retribution attacks are always about who did what and who's on the ice to do something about it. Often the real revenge attempt just waits until a later shift when you can get the goon timing right. Oh and btw everybody does this in the NHL, not just the Bruins. It's part of what makes hockey culture such a god send for Neanderthals

Marchand absolutely adores Bergeron, he always goes after anyone that messes with him. He's controversial to some but he bleeds black and gold, no denying that.
I like that he stepped up for Bergeron, but he didn't need to jump sucker punch him a la Domi. Pitlick didn't even have the time to drop his gloves.

Marchy is the legend, I love him… He is so importand for the Bruins, he always adds extra pressure on opposite team, and oftenly they can't manage the pressure. Moreover he thinks about teammates more than about himself, if he has an empty net opportunity he will try to find Bergy or Pasta, when Bergy scored the 1000th point, Marchy celebreted as he did it )
Marchand refuses to take more salary than Bergeron.
I think he's entitled to a few more bucks to cover the fines and suspensions 😊.
