The Yotes are such a frustrating team to play. I was so mad this whole game until the Avs busted it open in the third period.

Phoenix has some good young players. Team might be competitive one day sooner than later. Especially with how many draft picks they have.
Arizona might be competitive sooner then people suspect. They have a really good work ethic and make you earn it when they play you. They have some good young players already and they more coming in Connor Geekie and Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther and more. Plus all the draft picks they have in the next three seasons.
I respect the hell out of the Coyotes. They can't match up on talent, but they are so damn pesky. It's like a team made up of hard working fourth liners. I'm happy the Avs just powered through, didn't get discouraged, and got that win.
First game back Makar gets the winning goal. Can’t wait till they get healthy!

The ref decided that since the Yotes pulled their goalie he should step in to help them out, blocked that EN goal from Mikko lmao. If that missed goal ends up bumping him down to 3rd in scoring by the end of the season I'm gonna be so salty

Agreed on the second period. Altitude announcers are way off base sometimes.
Kinda wild that Rantanen's gonna reach 50 goals this year (maybe more honestly) and yet that still might not be enough to win the Rocket Richard. McDavid's got 60, is gonna get more, and is the shoo-in for the Hart. Pastrnak might match Rants' goal total… that's insane. Not to mention Draisaitl and Point are still within the 50 range.
That Makar wraparound save is either one of the best, or one of the luckiest toe saves I've seen this year. Vejmelka played VERY well.
Now, we need a Mikko heater and a Mack heater. Together or separately, don't care. They both have career goals they HAVE to hit.
Makar has passed Barrie in just a couple years to hold the record for most GWGs by a defenseman. Dude's incredible.
If Rantanen doesn't get to 50 than I'll forever be mad at that ref lol wide open EN and Rantanen puts it on the ice thinking the ref would jump but his skates were seemingly glued to the ice😅
If Rantanen ends up on 49 goals this season due to the ref blocking that empty net attempt Mikko’s agent will have a conniption

Colorado I think would match up well with Kraken or Jets. Though I'd rather see them play Winnipeg as I think that would be exciting. I would hope for some 5 goal or 8 type of games. I figure Colorado will have issue in net with the players compared to Jets whose goalie is probably better. Stars or Wild I think could lose to Seattle though way their styles clash. I was able to see Devils or Islanders game but slept. Then woke up to Hound Daze Haze having some stomach issues. I think somebody gave him a treat or he swallowed part of a thing like bully stick. I bet Avalanche fans are Glad they took MaKinnen instead of Seth JOnes. If only LA Kings fans could say the same about Stutzle over Byfield hehe. ONe day he might score 10 goals hehe ;).

I know you were talking about for the game in particular and not that anyone thought it would go otherwise but with this loss the Coyotes are officially mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They have 66 points and 9 games remaining which would allow at most 18 more points. That allows them to get at most 84 points and the Jets hold the second wildcard spot with 85 points.

Nathan MacKinnon is having a sneaky good season, had he not missed some games, he was on pace for 124 points, he should still hit 100, though.
As a yotes fan, I am damn happy with the effort we are putting on the ice and culture we are building bcoz if anyone thinks that only high end talent is enough to reach at the top just see ducks and you will understand
