The ONLY good thing about us missing the playoffs is Maurice possibly losing his job.
But even that seems unlikely for some reason…

Wtf was the strategy with the extra man at the end? Literally just threw the puck around and didn’t shoot. For a team who needed to win this game they showed absolutely no sense or urgency when it mattered. This one stings…
Well, worst case scenario happened. We aren’t making the playoffs, and Maurice is safe because we had a late rally and almost did.
Might have been the most frustrating game to watch this season.
2-0 lead blown against a team that has been tough to beat.
Gudas with a braindead play to come all the way across the ice to make a big hit that lead to this comeback. Ekblad has been atrocious.
Maurice’s strategy of dump and chase makes comebacks exceedingly difficult. Bob was the only reason this wasn’t an 8-3 loss. They also really struggle with the breakout = Maurice again.
We might have the stupidest team. Dumb penalties and poor D positioning on basic plays. What is Montour doing throwing it into the corner at the end? That’s a lack of game management, he had no idea how much time was left.
And ZERO killer instinct. Up 2-0. Couldn’t put them away.
They’ve had so much help in the standings, the playoffs have been there for the taking.
We decided not to make the playoffs in the second period tonight. Just stopped playing hard for whatever reason. So disappointing
