That OT goal should be on Steve's Dang-its on Thursday. How do you leave a guy that wide open in front of your own goalie? What happened to man coverage?
Also, there should have been at least four more penalties called against Vegas, those being cross checks to the lower back and a holding call. And at least 1 or 2 more against the Oil.

Kane really needs to step up his defensive play. Tonight's blatant blunder in OT really cost the Oilers (with some help from the ref's missed calls and Skinner's less than stellar performance on Vegas' first 2 goals). In the last 2 previous games Kane's lacklustre efforts at back checking (aka coasting back to the D zone instead of hustling his a$$) resulted in 2 San Jose goals on Monday and 1 Arizona goal on Wednesday. Fortunately the Oil won those games. However, heading down the stretch and into the playoffs, he needs to step it up in this regard in order to better the chances of the team's success.
Skinner letting in sloppy goals. You can really see the difference in goalkeeping when comparing to the saves gvk goalie made.

Oilers showing absolutely NO urgency on defense. MAKES ME SICK. They just wander around aimlessly letting people pass and skate and shoot freely in the high slot. Trash. McDavid and Drai will continue to be legendary and all of these other jerk-offs wander around riding them to a playoff spot. Good luck getting past the first round. Gosh.

As often as I watch Oiler and Leafs highlights both of them just do not have the defense or goalie to win a cup. Both of them have the offense to win a cup when it is consistent. I hope I am wrong though and it is just an injury or 2 that is the real cause of the defense / goalie problem for both.
Sad that Kane cost the Oilers this game. He will make it up to you.
