I feel like the Bedard dream is dead but we can solace in the fact that Cooley looks like an absolute stud and we’ll probably have two picks in the top 15 if not top 10.
It’s not a bad thing, either; as the Sabres can attest, it is ***FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR*** easier to come out of a rebuild if you have a team that is strong in culture and has boundless fight in them than when you have a team that has no core identity and folds easily under pressure.
