Long game, they just wanted to go home and take a nap.

It was actually at the end of a long shift. Fatigue was a factor.

I think Kane thought he saw a creditor coming his way.

Leaving skinner out to fuckin dry lol
Puckz_N_Boltz90
Kanes brain glitches for a second there. He just saw the puck and forgot he had a man to cover lol

What do you think of Edmonton’s defense?
I think it would be a good idea.
FatStupidOldMan
Assuming good faith here, they likely were just burnt from the shift.
Doesn’t look good though this close to the playoffs.

Maybe Kane had money on Vegas 🤷

Why was Ekholm so far away? Should he not have been covering the net?
Bigdoga1000
Roy did get pretty lucky with the rebound tbf
liililllllliilillill
This would be unacceptable defense in a squirt game

Looks like the worst display of an attempt at protecting your net ever…let alone defense

This is actually a sociology concept referred to as the Tragedy of the Commons. Basically all three Edmonton players are close to the player with the puck and assume that either of the other two players will take him but each other player also assumes the same so effectively none of them do anything.
mmmmmmmmmmTacos
Rounding into playoff form

LOL. Kane slowing skating to behind the goal. He literally lifts his stick from the goal line (he could of stop the shot) but chose to go to the back of the net. hahahahhaa

Was a long shift. The guys on the playercast commented on them being gassed.
Hutch25
They were tired, they broke their triangle puck chasing, and to top it off they were too tired to get the guy away from the net. Nice play by Vegas to recognize it too and have some good patience.

Practicing for getting knocked out in round one like the Leafs will
Mcpops1618
I mean the graphic as the goal was scores showed all 3 had been on the ice for 1:42. RNH battled hard, Ekholm had his guy and Kane’s controller disconnected.

I’ve always wondered how much the teams actually scrimmage 3v3 situations in practice. Sometimes it feels like not much.
