Does every single hockey game have a goalie fumble, these days? Are they purposely over-handling the puck to prove they can? ….'Cause they're not proving sh!t.
Not an ideal 3rd-wouldve been better to close it out,& get a regulation win for tiebreakers-BUT very important 2pts. Going into this game-I wouldve been ok with 1pt-all things considered. Arizona has always given us fits-even when they were awful-last few yrs. Pretty sure they won the season series last yr-unbelievably. But this isnt the awful Yotes anyways-of the past few seasons. They are much improved-especially at home. Theyve played a lot of close games with playoff teams recently,& got their fair share of pts in those games.
Now off to Anaheim-which sounds easy. But on a back to back,with JoJo in net-certainly no lock. But winning today means a loss tomorow wouldnt be a huge deal. But hopefully we get something tomorow,& that sets up 2 biggest reg season games of the year…Minnesota,& Dallas next wk. Not impossible-but gonna be tough to get the West 1 seed again-youd have to not only catch Vegas,but also LA,& stay ahead of Edmonton-not likely in my opinion. But the division,& 2 seed is right there in your hands,& thatd be good enough-especially considering our injuries this yr. Thatd mean home ice through at least 2 rounds til WCFs-& in theory-a bit easier,& less playoff experienced opponent in Seattle or WPG. Not that any playoff matchup would be easy,but Id sure rather start with 1 of those 2-than Minnesota or Dallas. And even if we dont win the Central-I do think its somewhat important to finish 2nd-& get home ice round 1,instead of starting off in Minnesota or Dallas.
