I wish The Whalers never left but once they became the Hurricanes they lost me. After a while I became a Bruins fan. Fun to see the jerseys again and all the 80's tunes made it a real retro blast. Awesome game too.
Takes me back to the old Hartford Civic Center. They even played the same music they played after Hartford scored a goal. Like watching a game from 30 years ago. Carolina should fit that uniform in occasionally. Good game on both sides.

hartford nestled inbetween the bruins the canadians..the rangers…….they are still popular obviously…so the nhl refuses? hmmm..anyway hartford and the b's were old rivals..the bruins used to play exhibition games against the whalers even when they were in the wha…its good to see them both battling to the end
That was an insanely good goaltending game, but as a whalers/hurricane fan who loves seeing them beat Boston, if they play them like that defensively in the playoffs, they won't do too well. You can't expect your goaltending to bail you out with that mang robberies….but Frederick was amazing. That being said, if he plays that well in the playoffs I think we have a pretty good chance to get to the finals
