I'm happy for Comrie after his last show, probably the boost in confidence he needs. Varly was outstanding for the Isles and really made it a close game because otherwise it could have easily been 5-0 Buf. Pens win, but at least FLA lost, Sens lost, Washington losing in regulation is still better than that game going to OT. Thanks for the vids, I always look forward to hearing your take Wayne. I think every team has it's haters, I was watching Leafs/Canes and man those Leafs fans just totally start trashing their own team after a loss. We gotta be classier than that!
A good all around performance by the boys, should have been more goals but Varlamov was outstanding as was Comrie. I still have hopes of catching either the Islanders and the Pens, especially if they can keep it up, these last two games have been two of the best of the year against good teams. Just hope Tage is ok going forward, don't want to see him get a serious injury that could affect his future while trying to get to 50 goals.

Very good game by the Sabres, a good defensive game. The Isles goalie stood on his head to keep Buffalo from scoring. Mittelstadt played another great game. Comrie did a great job, what a game after letting in 10 and then injured, but Buffalos defensive play kept the shots viewable for him.

The boys looked good today. EC was solid good defensive effort today all around. Our kid line is something else. Mitts is a keeper for now lol his game has definitely improved over the year.

Whatever else they've done we can't say the Sabres are predictable. After shipping more rubber than a Jersey shore hooker to beat the Isles with a shutout is incredible. Great for Comrie after the Dallas drubbing. 😊
This season has already been a success. Look at Tage, Cozens, everybody else!!! It’s been fun
10 games left, probably have to go 8 – 2 to finish the season and maybe squeeze in with 92 points, maybe 7-3 with 90 points. The chances are pretty slim still imo but there is a chance.

While I’m happy to see them play well these last few games my comment is in response to them potentially missing the playoffs by a few points I’d view that as a missed opportunity because they’ve had every chance to keep themselves in the playoff contention and each time they collapsed. This was absolutely something they could’ve done if they simply were more consistent here. Then I think way back to that 8 game losing streak early on where people said that didn’t matter. Well points always matter, imagine if they actually had walked away with say 6 points during that span of time. Wether or not we ever thought they’d be here now when the season began, the fact is they were in that position. So yes I’m glad they’ve been far better than I ever dreamed this year, I also am disappointed at what was a real golden opportunity that they probably have let slip through their fingers.
Great win from the boys. The odds are still against us, but we're back in the race at least! Buffalo played to win tonight, while the Isles played "not to lose" and if not for Varlamov's heroics, Buffalo could have scored three or four tonight.

Wayne,, really tough game with playoff atmosphere . The Sabres can really skate and the skills are really impressive. Excellent game by the goaltender. Anyway you look at it, this has been a fun season to watch.
If they could play that way consistently we would be off to the races.
This playoff drought will be over in two years at the most.
I’m not even looking at the penguins and islanders for a little while. If you look at the rest of our schedule, the most important thing is we can win the last 10 games. With the exception of maybe Carolina we have a fighting chance! They could win every single one of them if they believe in it.
Win lose this all I want to see is an honest effort. My boy Skinny broke 30 and it's only going to get better with the guy trust me.
This game is why the hits stat is misleading. If you play tight defense and check, you can win.
It's inevitable that fans will question our moves before the trade deadline. I didn't want to give too much, but it seems to me right now that we'd have made the playoffs with a stronger push by management. Stillman and Greenway weren't enough and probably weren't meant to be enough. Forget the fact that we'd probably get our clocks cleaned in the first round. The psychological boost from ending the playoff drought would have been incalculable.
