I believe the Coyotes can turn it around in couple of years, with amount of pick they have, they can use half of them to bring in players to fill holes in their roster, like Avs did. There's no way 70% of them picks are going to make it to the nhl or be developed role players. But there are teams that are willing to part ways talent for picks and cap room. I think with that young core can get much help needed with pick. Let's say they were to improve, in long shot that can attract someone like a Mathews
Arizona plays defensive, opportunistic hockey. They try to just hold on and look for chances when the other team messes up. That is why they give up the 2nd most shots per game and are worst in shots per game. As to why the Coyotes are always in a rebuild? They don't have any money. They are currently the lowest valued team in the NHL. With the newest ownership, its expected that they will start to compete when they get their new arena (also happens to be when the Weber contract ends). Arizona has almost $27 mil in IR contracts plus $4 mil in retained salary. They have the 2nd lowest cap hit at $67 million.
Havent listened to the show yet (i will in the morning) BUT i just wanted to say that first game… Makar got that "screw it.. ill just do it myself" vibe going on late in the second and absolutely took over. Robbed twice and scored once. I understand hes a D-man… but i have no idea why he doesnt get unleashed more often. The dude seems like he can score at will and it's frustrating to not see him attack more especially on the PP.
I had the Yotes taking one of those games cause they just play well against the Avs and the Avs always underestimate them.
Chris – You're a warrior. Thanks for doing this when you should probably be in bed.
Love the can you hear me knocking pull!
I’m looking forward to the duck hunt tomorrow. It’s probably going to be annoyingly close again. The Basement teams seem to show up for these kind of games. They don’t have a playoff shot but, they can change the playoff scenery.

For Fridays game though, I have Takin’ Care of Business – Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
This game involved 2 things I hate, it was a noon game and those are notoriously sloppy this year and we had a 2 goal lead entering the 3rd, the fact we still won despite those 2 things is a miracle lol. I'd much rather be down 1 than up 2, because we are forced to actually put a semblance of effort in unlike whatever the he'll that was haha
