dumb question, but are bonuses contingent on performance?
If he hits 20 goals and 60 points in the last year of this deal. Flames need to sign him long term, 8 year deal. No bridge deals, those burned us on Johnny and Tkachuk. Buy those first few years of he’s FA period at the tail end of the 8 years. Otherwise your just walking another guy to his UFA years and he’s potentially gone
Sens did the right thing in this regard to Brady.
Of course this only applies if by the end of his ELC he’s looking like a top 6 forward in the NHL
