À quoi ressemblera le prochain contrat d’Evan Bouchard? C’est une bonne question comme n’importe quelle autre ! Son jeu récent a été phénoménal, alors combien de temps est-il trop tôt pour l’enfermer pour l’année prochaine ? #EdmontonOilers #Oilers #NHL #EvanBouchard #NHLNews

Leafs hurt our momentum 🤣🇨🇦
Keep Evan BOUCHARD🎯
He's a sponge with the right guys around him😁
He has that I'll decide attitude we need 😁
We need to protect our D that's evolving 🎯
The maturity of this team will be the turning point on this franchise 🇨🇦⚡
The biggest thorns in the Oilers, is the non-trade clause for Darnell Nurse, and a 5M per year no one wants to pay for Campbell. Until those are figured out, the cap won't allow the oilers to change anything.. Unless of course, those players decide to turn it around.
We need Swagger 🤣🤨🇨🇦
Playoffs..unbelievable..are coming fast😁🇨🇦
Bouch led the Oilers (not just D, the TEAM) with TOI yesterday at 24:59. He played over 2 minutes MORE than Nurse and 2 1/2 more than his partner Ekholm. The next contract REALLY depends on how much cap is available. You can bridge him ONCE but more than once we're in that Nurse money range and, sorry, that doesn't work for me. If Kulak goes we can have Broberg AND Vinny as the 3rd pairing and bring up a Condor as the 7th (a la NIEMELÄINEN or Kemp or Dineen etc.). We're also looking at having to resign folks like Kostin, Ryan, Janmark, Bjugstad, Shore (probably not but), McLeod, plus several at the AHL level. Realistically you pretty much need at least 2, preferably 3 lower cost guys on D and at least 3 lower cost forwards or centers, 4 would be better, shoot 6 would be great. I can't see it being possible to move on from Jack Campbell so we have that contract plus the team friendly contract Skinner signed (if you consider nearly 2 million more than he earns now team friendly and I DO). We'll see. I'm hopeful we can sign a team friendly 3 or 4 year longer than a typical bridge at a price we can afford and that Bouch can exceed value wise. We'll see.
Bouchard is weak…
Probably a bridge deal 2.5 – 3.5 range.
He’s been playing so much better. The question though is would Bouch play that well if he wasn’t with Ek? Let’s say Bouch was with Nurse, would he play as good? Just not sure if it’s Bouch getting better or Ek making Bouch better. Probably a combination of both. Happy for him. He’s playing well
He and Ekholm are a good pairing. He’s been so much better with him and he did well alongside a veteran last year with Keith. I’m not ready to give up on Bouchard yet
Bouchard needs someone like Ekholm or Kieth with him. He struggles otherwise.
Hopefully he keeps trending up. Looks like we got Ekholm for 3 years at least.
Now , Ur doing some good vid's with some good info n some number crunching all that trade talk wuz annoying…lol
With Yamo and Campbell gone we could probably sign everyone else.
Nurses contract is selfish. Takes away room for more depth in the back end.
Bouch will continue to progress. Broberg needs more ice time, same with Klostin. Give Janmkark and Kulak the night off at home. Give Bouch a 2 yr bridge deal at 3.15 Mill. McCleod 3 yr @ 3.15. Campbell needs to take a pay cut if he wants to stay here, like 2 yrs @ 2.5 Mill sounds much better, or trade him.
he will get a 1-2 year deal in the region of 3-3.5 a year
