Hoffman is a total turd, and one of the most disliked players in the league, but I have to agree with him here. Greer should have got two games too.

A small crosscheck to the back of the helmet won't do any damage, but should still be punishable.
A small crosscheck to the face, can do significant damage (as we can see), and should be much more severely punished in my opinion
He needs to quit whining like a baby. He started some garbage with Greer and he got the worst end of it suck it up and be a man a.k.a. don’t poke the bear.
Didn't look intentional to me. Hoffman high hacked him, then cross checked him and when Greer reacted, it was a quick defensive maneuver and shit happens. Hoffman is smaller and if Greer is putting his hands up, he now has to hit Hoffman higher because Hoffman had his arms and stick above his own chest. Hoffmans own fault.

It wasn't mentioned in the clip, but Hoffman's stick rides up another player's stick, contributing to the cross check hitting the helmet.

The hockey gods will get you sooner or later. A cross check to the back of the head is very dirty. The fact he got it back years later and facing his opponent is a example of karma not forgetting your address. Also, he did slash the player's wrist/hand area prior. If you ask for it you'll eventually get it
