Trading for Eckholm was huge. One of the best d minded first blueliners in the league. How Holland convinced the Preds to take a defensive skid like Barrie is amazing. Eckholm is excellent, but he can't play all 6 spots on the d core. The forwards have to learn to back check once in awhile to help out. If not, the Oilers will not go far in the playoffs. Skinner can do the job, but only if team plays solid D in front of him. Not as many PP's in the playoffs, so there is still some work to do.
Breakdowns don’t look so bad when you have a goalie that can bail you out but let’s be honest, When Campbell is in nets you definitely cannot afford to have those breakdowns
