Mika progress report! She’s healing up pretty nicely! She stayed in a dark room with me all of yesterday and slept most of the day.
Today is day 2 post surgery, and she already wants to walk around and jump everywhere on her own! I used pillows and step stools to makeshift some stairs so she doesn’t jump, and replaced her tall litter box for a cardboard box cut in half. Her meow sounded different when we took her home, and she was super shaky, but I heard it was because of the anesthesia. Today her meow is back to normal and she’s not shaking anymore! She ate and drank her water last night and used the litter box, and she’s still under strict supervision but now has (mostly) apartment roaming freedoms.
It’s okay to just not post at all.

I am not typically the biggest cat person but I would without hesitation lay my life down for Mika. Hope she continues feeling better!

My well wishes for a speedy recovery. A little less than 7 years ago both of my kitty sisters were spayed. It went pretty smooth.

Awww. Mika continues to be an adorable baby. I wish her nothing but the best in her recovery. Thankfully we’re playing Columbus so we wont need to rely on her good vibes tonight!
