1. Carter's stick and skate were both in the crease… Should be Pens interference.
    KARMA, Pittsburgh. You lose.

  2. man the Wings have been getting screwed by the officials all year. i'm not even a fan but damn

  3. I'm one of those people who is livid when 3 goals are called back and yes it happened at least 3 times this season to other NHL teams, but this was a good call. I mean maybe it was not perfect, but compared to some other stuff we've seen its passable. Why wasn't Lalonde that pissed off when Wings were still in a playoff position??? Waste of resources/show-off if u ask me..

  4. The league has always liked the Pens more than the Wings. Anytime the Pens lose is a good night.

  5. I’ve played and watched hockey for the last 25 years and I swear I’ve never been more unsure of the rules when it comes to goalie interference.

  6. Thank God the Red Wings essentially nullified this bullshit call by winning the game by 3 anyway

  7. I've been following the Wings for 50 years and there has always been one constant. NHL REFEREES SUCK!

  8. There can be no impartiality in this game with sports betting. IMO when sports betting started getting advertised game in game out things have gotten much worse in terms of officiating. What's more is how blatantly obvious it is. Corruption from the top down…

  9. Does video review and calls being overturned depend on who is working in the Toronto review room? All you want is constancy. Games should not be decided by whomever happens to be in charge of reviews that day in question.

  10. 1st time the coach has ever been ejected, and that says alot about this call. Terrible call. NHL fix your refs/replay. Whoever was in charge of the replay. you failed.

  11. I do want to know their reasoning. Regardless of whether you think the goalie is knocking the puck or not, there was a stick to the pad before the puck crossed the line, and there was a sudden trajectory change immediately after the contact. I can't think as of how that's not goalie interference.

  12. I dunno i agree with the goal call. it was under his skate, he was already bringing his skate into the net. The penguins player had no impact on moving his skate, he was already pulling his skate in.

  13. Hey there’s white space. It doesn’t necessary mean it was over the line. That’s what they said in 2004 when the flames scored.

  14. judging by the comments this will be an unpopular opinion but…good call. the goalie thought the puck was loose and moved his leg to try to block what he thought was a shot attempt by the pittsburg player. there’s no way the stick contact would be forceful enough to move his leg that much

  15. I cant believe how out of control this whole thing is getting and how little the NHL is doing to fix it. When you have the best players in the sport speaking against the officials, knowing it'll result in a fine, or worse that should speak volume. People are going to stop paying to watch hockey both in person and on tv! STOP RUINING THE DAMN GAME.

  16. If you look close enough you can see Zucker's stick flex as he pushes the blade against Neds pad. What a joke. Although I do enjoy seeing Lalonde get fired up lol. Red Wings got the last laugh but jeez I watch A LOT of hockey and the officials are getting more and more inconsistent.

  17. so, when exactly did the penguins challenge the call? cause there is no indication they ever did

  18. This is disgraceful. Once again, the NHL has no idea how to interpret its own rules. They embrace technology to make the proper call and then continually blow it anyway. It's important to note here that I'm neither a Redwing or Penguin fan. I dislike them equally. But, I do appreciate their respective generosity with Vrana and Kapanen.
