  1. Was at the game, Wild goalie stole the show. 95% of Avs losses come from a hot goalie and them giving away free goals. Rarely do they lose when they’re not beating themselves

  2. I feel like the Wild we're way too passive in the 3rd period. It really had me stressed out lol

  3. Even though I love the Wild and Canes i have to admit that the best contenders for the Cup are the Avs and the Rangers as of now. Bruins will face the curse of the pres. trophy

  4. The Gus Bus has been AMAZING. If Fleury starts having flashbacks the rest of the league may be in trouble

  5. And as an extra comment I predict that NY Rangers will win the cup this season. And why is that? They have now Patrick Kane in their roster and HE is the difference maker in the POs.

  6. TNT broadcast was hilarious. They could not cover Mackinnon fast enough for any bad play or mistake. He got slammed by Sundqvist and Jonsey immediately pounced .2 seconds later to let everyone know he didn’t get caught with a hit he lost his balance.

  7. Yes I agree! My Wild are not taken seriously but hey it might work to their advantage! No expectations and then the Wild surprises the rest of the nhl!!! Thank you for your honest observations! And just thank you!

  8. Gustavsson stole the game and Georgiev, like the rest of the Avs, was very off his game. Looks like the Wild may want it more right now.

  9. Just watched this game and the Wild were impressive, people who say the Wild have no chance dont watch enough Wild games. They are such a structured team. I hope these 2 teams meet up in the playoffs.

  10. It's not that Gus has had good games, it's that he hasn't had a single game that he didn't play well. Fleury should only be played once more and it's against Chicago only because the Jets are the next night. Gus is the Guy and it's not even close

  11. I have so much gratitude for the soft spot you have for the Minnesota wild. I think the goalie controversy is worth a video since everyone here in St. Paul is solidly convinced Fluery will get the start game of the playoffs !!! Your the best!!!

  12. I don’t care who likes us or hates us. The Wild deserve to be Shiited on because of our lousy playoff records . They need to earn the respect by making deep playoff run this year

  13. Currently one of the top prospect pools in the nhl, and almost done with 1 year of cap hell. When that 14 million opens up in a little more than 2 years, the wild might just have the biggest Window of the cap era.

  14. Watched the 3rd period, was great to watch, the wild are a tough bunch

  15. The Wild played an amazing road game the first two periods. The third was rough, but in a situation like this the Wild will greatly benefit when they have Kaprizov to counter punch. Also, when they have Duhaime and Reaves back to help tilt the physical play in the Wilds favor.

Again, those first two periods were exactly how they need to play. That’s without their best player/top 10 player in the league. When he’s back in the lineup this team will be no joke.

  16. Not sure why people picked the Avs in this, a team on absolute fire vs one that isnt having the necessary intensity to beat hyped up playoff teams and the Wild had Gustavsson in net. Im more surprised the Avs scored 2

  17. Hell of a game. The Wild was the better team in the 1st and 2nd, the Av's in the 3rd. For some reason the Av's looked to be more nervious, missing some open looks, maybe it was just puck luck, it's hockey, right? Gus was solid again, but we've seen that all year, we have a large enough sample size now to see he's for real. Huge 2 points for MN in the middle now of a tough stretch of games. Now the home and home with Vegas MAY decide the #1 seed in the west! Keep your seat belts buckled, it may be a little bumpy!

  18. Avs didn't play particularly bad, just couldn't find the back of the damn net for so long despite plenty of opportunities. Very frustrating as an Avs fan. Could've been much closer…

  19. The Avs don't want it. Same problems all season. Turnovers, can't hit an open net, and they look fkn stupid trying to enter the zone. They seriously need a shooting clinic. No creativity and just hucking the puck at the net and hoping for trash to pick up doesn't work against good teams. That BS won't work against a team that wants it.

  20. Reasons why the Wild don't get the respect their fans want:
    1. The Wild are winning, but they seldom look dominant and are often significantly outshot.
    2. Half their roster is ordinary.
    3. They're playing at top gear, so they have to hang on when a good team like Colorado turns up the heat as they did in the 3rd.
    4. Flyover country.
Colorado has looked vulnerable. Let's see how the WIld does in the upcoming two-game set against Vegas.

  21. Yes Shannon I agree: to get rid of delay of game call altogether. Same with the review for offsides challenge that was not called by the linesman and called back because of a skate boot or blades worth of offsides – it’s killing the game.

  22. "not gonna give them that credit either"

I'm not really sure how you say that. They were very clearly the better team for 2 periods. Then while they looked like they were getting dominated in the third, they stayed composed weathered the storm, goalie did what Stanley cup winning goalies do, and the rest is history. They were blocking half of all shots probably. Whether intentionally or not, the wild looked like they were trying to preserve the win in the third. Not a good look, I'll give you that. Hopefully that wasn't the plan and the aves just got good.

Against the avalanche. Speaking of which, I don't know about them. Watching last night it really just felt like the MacKinnon and rantenen show. Rant trying to get to 50 goals, and Nate trying to do everything himself. Didn't look like the same team game the wild play

  23. It’s a routine thing on national broadcast…. Even when the Wild are winning, they are always cheering for the other team and minimizing what MN is doing.

Good news, Minnesotans are used to it.

  24. Respectfully disagree with the opening statement that this game won’t give the Wild any credit/respect. Haven’t watched them much during this incredible 20 game run but they absolutely dominated the Avs, only resorting to rope a dope and holding on in final 15 minutes or so

  25. It would appear, to me at least, that Minnesota became a better team since losing Kaprizov. Before his injury he was scoring 22% of the Wild goals. Missing a player like that means everyone else has to pick it up, and they have. As an Avs fan, if these two teams meet in the playoffs, I hope Kaprizov is back. BTW, I take the Wild seriously!

  26. Hello Puckheads!
It was an 1-1-1 night for me … Dang Caps! Three fun games to watch!
    636-462-88 (57.34%) overall

  27. As a Wild fan since day one- Gus needs to be their netminder for the playoffs. Fleury is too erratic and inconsistent. If the team has another first round exit- Fleury will likely be the reason

  28. Of course there was a bias in rooting for Colorado from TNT. Also, if the Wild win the division, the banner gets split in two. Half and half between Gus and flower.
