Based on highlights the defensive play was not there. Kane heating up is a good sign. Maybe time for Bouchard to watch from the press box before the playoffs for a little inspiration. Nice to wake up to an oilers win of a 4 point game.
Snarky Puppy (Evander Kane) puts up a hattie. Bouch had at least one "deer in the headlights, I don't think I'll cover anyone while they score" moment, this was an incredibly sloppy game and I honestly don't think Edmonton should have really won in many ways but they did, we're now 3 up on Seattle so all is good. Hyman scored 30 goals for the first time in his career. Grubauer injured replaced by Jones in net for Seattle. Of course the Oilers are scored on by Eberle (with a secondary assist by Adam Larsson). We really needed to get special glasses for Janmark so he thought we were playing Dallas again and scored more. Two kind of fights (though the Vinny/McCaan one was called coincidental slashing after Vinny got away with playing the xylophone on someone's spine via a crosscheck). Had hopes after the last game but apparently defense on behalf of the Oilers is "if the mood is with them". Take care all.

I thought Skinner was pretty solid…might want the Eberle one back, but Bouchard lost his man. ☆ We still have defensive coverage issues.
