  1. Ducks are forever associated with that 07 run for me. I wish Ana would've won in 03 instead. It was a great show by Giguere tho, perhaps the best goalie play-off performance I've seen, up there with Roy and Quick. The Kariya/Selanne show was pretty special too.

  2. That 2014-2015 team was the closest we got to a 2nd cup. Just that game 7 curse at the time just ate us up. We would had beat the Bolts knowing how well the Ducks played that whole playoffs

  3. I really liked early 2000s Anaheim, too bad they could not win in 2003 for Kariya and Oates.

  4. Love the breakdown. It would be cool to see the top 1 or 2 goalies for the team that year too. I'll never forget when Hiller got Vertigo and was out pretty much all season, so we ended up trying 5 different goalies threw the year and somehow made it to the playoffs.

  5. Thank you. I was in the stands facing Tomas Holmstrom, who was killing the Ducks, was crushed into the glass Hanson brothers style by Neidermeyer and Pronger. He melted down the glass. You could tell they calculated the two minutes was worth it.

  6. Chicago Blackhawks franchise icon Tony Esposito died Tuesday at the age of 78 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer, the team announced.

  7. As a Ducks fan, I had a few notes of trivia…

    1. The Ducks have never faced any less than two Canadian teams in any playoff run in which they face any Canadian team.

    2. Between the 2006 and 2007 playoffs, they played all 5 former Northwest Division teams, and in alphabetical order!

    3. The 2016 Ducks actually finished 1st overall in both PP and PK. They also had to face Boston in a makeup game the Sunday after the regular season ended, in a game that actually determined the winner of the William Jenings Trophy!

    4. The only bad thing about being a Ducks fan is that the letter D falls between the letters S and F on a keyboard!

  8. The goal should have been called back. It was totally goalie interference.

  9. that 2007 team was absolutely STACKED!!…underrated team when it comes to speaking of dominant cup champion teams

  10. I still haven’t gotten over the 2015 Blackhawks series or the 2017 Predators series lmao

  11. I got so excited about THG focusing on my Ducks that I forgot I started the rice, even though I set a timer, so it boiled over, ruined the rice and burned the pot. Yes, I paid the price, but I am just glad it isn’t a 20 year old Hockey Girl that I watch so often or my wife would still be giving me the business.

  12. That Chicago conference loss was rough for me. I thought we would have gotten that second cup and made our big stamp on the league

  13. It’s funny to mention Kariya’s downfall after Scotty was a concussion truck. As a massive Kariya fan, it’s impossible to deny the change after that l, BUT I still want to point out that he had 2 pretty solid seasons in Nashville- still holds the single season point record at 82pts. Maybe this is why Anaheim can’t beat Nashville???

  14. Another moment fans remember from the 2003 Finals was Martin Brodeur losing his stick as he went to play the puck, it hits the stick, goes through his legs and into the empty net.

Also, whenever you get to either Edmonton or Dallas, I am expecting you to point out that that matchup never worked out for the Oilers.

  15. The lockout is the best thing that could have happened to the Ducks, Getzlaf and Perry got an extra long season to develop. And Selanne in particular took the time to rehab for his injury. All that added up for a Cup win in 2007

  16. The Ducks lost their soul when they changed that iconic logo. That 2007 cup still doesn't feel as good as it should have been.

  17. I think the only teams that could have taken them out in 06-07 was San Jose maybe Buffalo but that blue line was ridiculous

  18. Anaheim pretty much plateaued in the 16-17 season and dipped after that. I wish them the best in their rebuild.

  19. If Ana could have gotten past LA in 2014 they would have taken it all. LA was just too good

  20. Ducks had a really good shot at getting back to the cup from 2015 to 2017. That 2015 series with the Hawks was hard as a Hawks fan, so when they played against Nashville in 2017 I was going for the Ducks. The 1st cup final I watched was 2007 so I like the ducks more than I should.

  21. Didn’t the Buffaslug jerseys also have that neck line? They are indeed atrocious.

  22. Tony Esposito will be missed. He developed the "butterfly"
style that goaltenders use today. 15 shutouts in 69-70 season is still the NHL record. Unbelievable.

  23. From the mid 2000's to the mid 2010's, Ducks were a team you absolutely feared. Physical, fast and had the fundamentals. I mean they won the Pacfic Division 6 straight years

  24. Hockey players where such bad asses back then. Back when it took a real man to play NHL hockey. Not like now where u can duck and weave and play or safe.

  25. Would be cool if you put a Stanley Cup magnet on years teams won it all, instead of the team they beat in the Final. Just a suggestion, love these playoff videos

  26. The 2003 Stanley Cup Run Was Amazing For Anaheim Fans Even Though They Lost To The NJ Devils in 7 Games Then They Win The Cup in 2007 Which Was More Amazing And They Should Had Won It in 2015 If They Had Knocked Out Chicago!

  27. Even though they won in 07, the 03 was my favorite ducks team because Kariya was my favorite player in the NHL. Very happy Selanne got his Cup but I wish they could have won one together.

  28. Their leading scorer in 07 playoff was 22 year old Ryan Getzlaf with 7 goals and 10 assists. Selanne with 15 points was behind him there.
