That guy is a Devils icon now
NOBODY SHUTS US OUT, YOU SLUTS! LETS GOOOOO!!!
…other than that what a dumpster fire of a game
Not worried, shit happens. Just win the next one.
Away games in Chicago and Winnipeg 23 hours apart and Winnipeg last played on Friday. That’s not an excuse for losing by 5 goals but it’s still a huge disadvantage for us and I expected the Jets to win tonight since this game was very important for them. Let’s not overreact to tonight’s performance.
By the time it was 4-0 I just wanted us to score once to keep our streak of not being shut out alive and we accomplished that, so… mission accomplished.
Pros: Broke the shutout
Cons: Everything else
Jets gonna think they’re a good team again. It was a moment of charity from the Devils.
This might be the right time to get this embarrassed at this point in the season
Shoutout to NHL Network making the game unwatchable on ESPN+ to save me from that absolute pounding by Winnipeg.
But hey, at least the streak for not being shutout this season continues lol. Other than that, throw all of this in the trash and move on from it.
That one doesn’t instill loads of confidence w 5 games left.
Devils not shutout, Jack at 90 points and 50 assists. Yes that is the only thing of note that happened this game. Nothing else, no sir ee
This feels like when my high school hockey team would play private schools and we would call it a win when we didn’t get 10 goaled 😂
Lol burn everything related to this game. It never happened. Devils will finish the season having played 81 games.
NOT A SHUTOUT! Onto the next
What game? I don’t remember the Devils having a game tonight
No. We will never speak of this game again. No post game thread needed.
We had a higher xG than the Jets so 🤷🏼♂️
goalies please
At least we kept our shutout streak alive but aside from that I’m going to go ahead and pretend this game never happened. Shake it off, onto the Pens.
Nobody scores six unanswered goals against the New Jersey Devils!
Outside of the one goal, this was horrible to watch. Just happy it wasn’t a shutout.
Thinking positively for Tuesday. The fact I haven’t been this disappointed in a Devils game since last year it a good sign.
Jack Hughes 90 point season! Let’s go!!!
Shit happens. Two games in under 24 hours, traveling from Chicago to Winnipeg to face a desperate team while the Devils have much less to play for. Still not a great outcome, but let the sub’s doomers doom. This season will still be a disaster to plenty. A full tear down will still be called for.
On the plus side we still havent been shutout
Can Jack get 6 or 7 points in 5 games?
2nd half of a back to back having to cross the border against the Jets. Never been less surprised at a loss in the last 5 years tbh.
I think this is our first rout all season (except for first fee games). We need to work through this slump now
Vitek and Blackwood were horrible. Our top two pairings dog shit, our third line horrible. 4 players in the top 6 were good. Severson and Bahl were the best pairing.
Also fucj the jets and the leagues scheduler

I hate to say it. Palat might stink. And that’s not good.
When this type of scheduling happens, it might be best to sit your stars and bring up some prospects.
Yikes. I was bummed i couldnt watch this one but now i’m glad i did. Sorry i didnt watch tonight, it wont happen again. Bounce back. LGD
The team was pretty fucking bad all night. They very much looked like they were playing their second game in 23 hours with a border-crossing, 800-mile flight in between. No idea how that ended up being scheduled, but at least it won’t be a possibility in the playoffs.
After the third goal, seeing how we were playing, my only real goal was not being shutout, so hey, mission accomplished. But yeah. Shit game. Glad it wasn’t at home so there was no risk of booing. Oh well. Sky’s not falling and the points going to Winnipeg really don’t matter. Just gotta have a short memory and come out strong next game.
Let’s gooooo no shutout!!!
Devils play yesterday at 8 in Chi-town. Finish the game 6-3 around probably 10.
Then between 10pm and 7pm tonight, they had to fly to Canada, traverse customs, get some type of sleep/nourishment, warm up and play against a desperate Winnipeg team after they’ve had two days off.
Yeah I’m not gunna doom about it. Gotta roll with the punches. At least we told the Jets to suck out shutout streak. Beyond that, let the boys get some good rest and we’ll see them again.
The game was blacked out for me and I was bummed out that I couldn’t watch it, but now I’m glad that I couldn’t😬🫣
Absolutely embarrassing performance. I know people will say “we should be happy because we made the playoffs”, but I’d like to go into the playoffs actually looking good
Bro I’m not into to hyper masculinity but our captain is routinely looking like he’s been crying after all our frustrating losing streaks or shitty games. It’s pretty concerning man. He shouldn’t genuinely look like he’s red faced and close to crying about 3 times this whole year during interviews. It doesn’t bode well for us
I’m going to make this quick because of obvious reasons:
* We have not been shutout thus far this season.
* Nico Goal. Jack Point. He’s now ten points away from one hundred and six points away from the NJD points record.
* Other than that, this was **THE** worst game of the season. Hands down. Hands fucking down. It was bad. It was all bad.
* We had a less than twenty four hour turnaround between last night and tonight plus travel.
* No one on that team had a good game or looked like they were having a good game at all.
* I don’t know if that penalty shot was the nail in the coffin, or if we were never in this game in the first place. Who knows.
* I’m glad everyone looked really mad/disappointed/upset with themselves because thats how they should feel. We expect more of this team and they expect more of themselves.
* **This was the first game of the season that went like this and hopefully this will be the last game of the season that goes like this.** It took seventy something games for them to absolutely shit the bed like this, and that is saying something.
* Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, and every fuck up we could have had happen, happened. Good. Now its over. Now it absolutely should not happen again.
* Plus the Rangers and the Hurriances won. Womp womp.
* I commented this in the GT, but looking at April, the only games where I wasn’t confident we would win were this one and the upcoming Boston game, so this is not as much of a big blow…
* I also said in the GT that this game is absolutely not how the Devils play. Yes, we had our defensive mishaps (leaving men alone in front of the net, giving away too many odd man rushes), but our offense in this game was nothing like how this team plays offensively. We looked dangerous maybe a handful of times, we didn’t have much sustained pressure, not a typical game at all.
* And thats why I don’t think this is some bad omen for the playoffs or anything. We need to clean up our defensive play FOR SURE, but this game isn’t exemplary of any kind of consistent problem or issue for us. Its actually an exception to what has been a pretty fucking consistent offensive game we’ve played all season.
* Anywaaaaaay, I’ll be at the Rock on Tuesday for the Pens game. See ya’ll there. Good night!
Who ever made the schedule this year. Fuck you
I’m just gonna forget this game happened. Devils only play 81 games this year
Did Timo put the team on his back? Didn’t think so.
Has winnipeg ever scored this much before lmao
So Jets are winning the Cup, right?
Jesus.
