If the Sabres can manage to lose only one game for the rest of the season (as long as it isn’t the Florida game) I think we make the playoffs with 93 points. None of the 4 teams in the wildcard race have an easy path through the rest of the season, and max points available to each team is 97-NYI, 96-PIT, 95-FLA/BUF.
Now, that’s asking a lot for us to go 6-1 to end the season, but we really just need to pick up 1 point on PIT and FLA to move ahead of them in the standings (We have the tiebreaker against PIT, but not NYI or FLA). It’s possible, and not some crazy scenario that you need 5 minutes to understand.
