Maker is more explosive and can beat you with speed, but Dahls is so poised in how he possesses the puck and postures and stuff like that. He makes defenders bite so much. Cale would just kind of like do a little move and beat you but Dahls does it more with patience. In the d-zone, he does the exact same thing. It’s like a one-man breakout with him. When you’re on the ice with him as a forward and you see Dahls going back, you think you can cheat a bit because you know he’s going to be able to escape from that forward or whatever. I know he gets recognition and stuff like that but I don’t think people realize how truly, truly good he is.”

The funniest part of this is Comrie acknowledging that they’re aware of how much better their record is when Samuelsson plays. I wonder if there is a mental component of “shit Sammy isn’t playing so we’re going to lose”.
