Regarding Bunting, the Leaf haters laugh and want the lopsided officiating to continue. They gladly will jettison the integrity of the game to see the Leafs lose. Then just to further their hypocrisy, they go all Orwellian and claim the Leafs have the NHL in their back pocket. How and why does this happen? Leaf support has proven to be rock solid. Full house not only for home games but the road games as well. Other cities not so much. Most US markets and all, save 1 Canadian market, fan support goes soft with losing. Leafs make a nice patsy/punching bag/fall guy, all in the interest of "League Parity". Bettman has turned this league into a big fix. So sure Leaf haters love love love this "no PO series win since whenever" but we all see the thumb on the scale. Will be no different this year. How anyone would bet a dollar on the games is beyond me, unless of course you're one of the privileged few that are privy to the script or just bet against the Leafs in those critical games.

I disagree with embellishment penalties if an actual penalty is called. If I'm tripped and the penalty is called then it doesn't matter if I embellished it. It's really hard to tell if something was embellished or not. Now, if you throw yourself onto the ice trying to get a tripping call when no trip occurred, like they do in soccer, then that should be a penalty. Embellishment should only occur when the original penalty didn't get called.
All these LFRs should now be discussing the upcoming Leafs-Lightning playoff series. Forget about these meaningless last few regular season games. The players don't care and neither does anyone else. I'm not a Leafs fan, tho. Maybe y'all like obsessing over game 76 of the regular season as if it means anything.

Can MLSE ask the NHL to remove the Situation Room (and Dept of Officiting) from Toronto on the grounds that they feel a reverse bias exists against their team?
It's time the Leafs throw their financial weight around like other teams do (Bruins, Flyers, Blackhawks). This league would be much different if Leaf fans EVER decided to boycott the NHL (I know that will never happen).

Bunting ignores the refs instructions all the time. He remains in the pile till he can hurt someone or till someone draws a penalty. Tell Bunting to listen to the refs and he won't have any problems
Leafs fans are funny. Bunting dives all game and gets called for it and leafs fans complain
remember this video with steve saying "call every crosscheck" in the playoffs. bunting is a diver. thats what he does. the refs got it right by calling embellishment, first crosscheck they let go, second they called both. when will leaf fans stop complaining about officiating, the world will never know

Stop blaming the goalie for your teams shortcomings. As an Avs fan, we have had mediocre goalies for the last 4 years or more. We make it work.
Why was the hit on Murray not a penalty? I realize it was incidental, but is this not "interference"?

Two things Mr Dangle, first thing is you didn’t even mention game 4 of the Stanley cup playoffs in 2022 when the Refs were reprimanded and cut from the playoffs entirely for bad calls and non calls! Leafs had 8 penalties and Tampa had 3. Changed the series and if Toronto had that game it was over and the refs knew it.
Second thing is corruption does exists in sports even more so now than ever with all the “Betting” ads and I for one think you need to cut ties with the Gambling sites Steve, it’s nasty business and causes games for the leafs to be lost because of a few bucks in a refs pocket. Just think about that.

Refs dont feel loved when they go home if they call a legit game so to feel loved they call a crooked game for the 15,000 fans No accountability for lousy officiating…

No matter what if you have a guy that’s costing the team he has to go. His fault or not which I say it is in my opinion.

They are in a constant “boo hoo” mode bc they can’t get over the fact that officiating is bad for everyone. Suck it up and deal. 2019 the Bruins were robbed in so many penalties not called. It’s blatantly obvious. But the bottom line is that is NOT why they lost the series with STL. STL was better in G7. Stop crying! Focus on winning.
It is impossible for any system that relies on human judgment to function without accountability. That is universally true for literally everything, not just NHL officiating.
Can we now admit that the Matt Murray experiment is over and was a complete failure. This guy has been an albatross hanging around the Leafs collective necks since day 1. Move on FFS.
