The key is that they are inexperienced. They want want to showcase their skills and put their name in the hat for getting a job with the big club next season. This time of year, tweeners have something to play for . It seems almost counterintuitive , but maybe keep the roster full the expensive skill guys that have succeeded in the tank all season long. They want playoffs and know they aren't getting them, so they are probably thinking about golf already.

Wow. Chicago and Anaheim both lost 8 straight each. It wasn't a secret that the Hawks were tanking (they've been doing it since last season). The Jackets tried to improve their team in the summer with their signing and it ended up doing the opposite. If you don't award teams for tanking, then the Jackets and Nucks definitely deserve Bedard the most. Well, Jackets more as they're just awful.
