Poles passed on Pickens. He will pass on Carter. The vehicle incident just reinforces the questionable character narrative
This is not a 1 year plan but a 3 year plan. They'll probably get 8-9 wins this year (an improvement). The big Free Agent spending will occur next year…..seems like the plan for this year is Value. The Brass must have their eye on certain FAs after this season to spend big $$$.
O brown is a potential locker room problem if he insist on playing l tackle but you MIGHT think he is a r tackle
Alright, Pole's has 10 draft picks, 6 has to be RT,LG,C,NT,DT,DE. Young team all growing together. The Bears were in on O. Brown, & D. Jones but that's why it's called free-agency. They didn't want to come here. We're still in laying the foundation part of the rebuild.

Man if jalen carter is still available at 9 you gotta trade down now. Teams who didn't meet with him aint gonna draft him, you can get him anywhere is round 1 plus the trade down spoils
You address OL to continue to develop Justin Fields. You aquire defense for wins. But wins without developing your QB means 9-8 forever
Tired of hypothetical talk about “the trade”. Boring
They have veterans and the young quarterback who is an unquestioned leader of that locker room/team… Edmonds and Edwards are two guys of been in the league for a few years and they have both been to multiple playoffs and a Super Bowl… So they know what it takes to win coming from winning teams. Justin is a leader, Mooney, DJ Moore, Billings, Davis… Some of the new guys they have will be the leaders of the team as well as our quarterback so I will trust them to get Jalen Carter going in the right direction because he can be one of the best players in the NFL with the right guidance… And you can't pass up on talent so if the Bears take him at nine or 10 or whenever he goes… I'd be happy with that… Otherwise I'd also be thrilled with Kancey, Skowronski, Jones, Johnson , Wilson etc
I still think Foskey is a player the Bears need to consider.. not sure why he's not being talked about but he is a great football player, intelligent and good technician… plus he has the measurables and athleticism you want..

The trade was excellent, it's easy to say what you should have done after the trade has been completed. It was the right call. Ryan and his staff did their due diligence. They do not appear to be individuals that make rash decisions. So can I do not agree with your hypothetical scenario. Just a fan

Love your work. I’d love for you guys to explore the notion of Jalen, Carter, feeling immense guilt and dealing with the pain of losing two friends, and he was involved in how they died. He was not responsible for their death, but he played a contributing role. Imagine that imagine all that guilt at 21 simultaneous with the draft going on. That’s a lot for anybody to handle.
