Florio is correct when he says Belichick was completely unprepared for McDaniels leaving. The Matt Patricia Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach experiment was Belichick asleep at the Patriots GM wheel. Belichick placing Patricia in charge of the Offense and Offensive Line was desperate, amateurish, knuckleheadish, ignoramus, dumb. And Belichick expected his team, Patriots media, and fans to go along with this lunacy. Belichicks arrogance is like Donald Trump telling his followers "I'm a victim. I'm innocent." And expecting anyone with a brain to believe such ridiculous lies. Belichick creates the desperate situation then blames his QB for acting with desperation to fix the problem.
