@Canadiens de Montréal

    I mean if the Florida’s pick is below 15 I’d keep it except for a huge price, that’s a stacked draft. I think we’re at a point we can look for a young goalie tho, but there’s not a lot of them avaliable I guess

    Listening to offers never hurt nobody

    Besides Dubois, I can’t really think of anyone realistic and intriguing that makes sense for us

    Laffy or Kakko? Newhook?

    I’m not opposed to moving Floridas pick for PLD but I’d at least see who’s available with the pick.

    Everyone, please stop with PLD. In no more than 2 seasons he becomes UFA and signs a friendly deal with Montreal, so there is no point trading assets for him. He wants to come back home. Be patient, we’re in a rebuild.

  6. > Montreal is open to listening on the Panthers 1st RDer they have, especially if they can make a hockey trade like they did in acquiring Kirby Dach

    I said that back when Hughes talked about the rebuild and said he’d be open to adding young players.

    Dach was a 2019 pick and Chicago was willing to move on after 3 years.

    Who’s a 2020 pick which team would be willing to move on after 3 years?

    Lafrenière is the obvious guy because he turns RFA and hasn’t lived up to his drafting rank, but I don’t think a mid-1st rounder alone does it. There’s Holtz in NJ that is always dangled around, but unless he asked to get traded I don’t see why NJ would swap him for a 17-18 yrs old as they’ve entered their resurgence.

    Simply put, a deal like Dach’s don’t come around often because players that good and that young are rarely shopped around.
