Les Devils du New Jersey ont accueilli les Penguins de Pittsburgh mardi soir. Alors que les Penguins étaient à la recherche d’une place en séries éliminatoires, ils ont commencé à exercer une forte pression sur les Devils. Malheureusement, les Devils ont réussi à allumer la lampe en prenant une avance de 1-0 à mi-chemin du 1er. Avec cinq minutes à jouer dans la période, les Devils ont marqué un deuxième but sur une course impaire. La période s’est terminée 2-0 pour le New Jersey. En 2e période, les Devils ont doublé leur avance pour porter le score à 4-0. Ils ont ajouté un cinquième but au tableau de bord au début du 3e. Les Penguins ont finalement eu une réponse pour les Devils après six minutes de jeu en 3e. Bryan Rust a dévié un tir rapide du PO Joesph au point. Cela a porté le score à 5-1 en faveur des Devils. Le score est resté le même pour le reste du match donnant la victoire aux Devils. We did not at all play to our peak performance tonight. Can only blame Jarry for the 4th goal, besides that it was all ugly on the defense and on turnovers. Atleast someone scored. Throw this away as quickly as possible, we need to win these next 4 games, and it only gets harder. Potentially welcoming back Fleury in Pittsburgh the 6th.

This team doesn't deserve to get in the playoffs. If they do, one and done. They simply aren't good enough. I love the Pens. Since 1990. But it's time to face facts. And fix this team for next year. Meaning EVERY job is up for grabs.

Another awful performance from great and high potential players on Pens. I would say Refs hurt them with a no call on Dumo but even with powerplays… the Pens can't even generate good chances.
Ownership, playoffs or not, please remove Hexstall in the offseason. He was chased out of the GM position in Philadelphia for a reason. He’s among the most incompetent GMs in the league.

Tired of the same thing under Sullivan for Soooo long. Too cute, lot's of possession but too few real opportunities actually created, 'cos always looking for the pretty play, even when down by 5. On nights when we're scoring a hatful with finese, fine, but we don't ever adapt our game when that doesn't work. We're at home screaming Shoot! Just throw it on net! Just do the simple things, but they only have one gear.
This has been such a miserable season. Ron Hextall should be fired.
