  1. There is always a possibility but with literally how stacked the B’s are they haven’t even loss 4 straight ever this season. Yes the goalie not being in playoffs a lot is a problem but Ullmark is already in playoff mode. If they lose first round, okay but to say sweep first round with the names on this team it’s insane to say.

  2. Good luck Boston… although I would rather the Sens be there instead. Better Boston then Tronta'.

  3. Comparing that lightning team to this bruins team is an extremely lazy and superficial take. The only similarity between them is that they both won a bunch of regular season games.

  4. I see Bruins playing on a continuum..the regular season will give way to the postseason where the focus will continue unabated..

  5. Hockey has been around for a long time now. When you're talking about the greatest players ever, don't limit the list to five, make it ten !

  6. Boston is the best team by far,
And I'm not a bruins fan,
The only team I can see having a chance in a 7 game series against Boston is the rangers, the rangers feel like they either get knocked out by nj in the first round, or go all the way,
The have the experience, and the talent like Kane, Panarin, Tarasenko, Kreider, Zibanijad, Fox, and Their kid line who played well last year in the postseason because the pressure is not yet on lafreniere, kakko, or chtyil to be the guys,
But most importantly they have a goalie in shesterkin who when hot, can steal a series

  7. How many times are people not going to mention Hedman playing with concussion symptoms in the first pair of games and then being shutdown? In addition Strawlman didn't play so TB entire 1st pair was gone after G2. Be very difficult for any team to recover just from that.

Also Columbus was a competitive team. Bob played great in those 4 games and Jones, Werenski and Savard was absolutely
better than TB D Corp given HedmanStrarlman. Up front
Panarin, Anderson, Atkinson, Foligno, Dubois and Jenner
    were all good forwards.

Columbus put Boston in jeapordy heading into G4, as CBJ
was up 2-1 in the series. That put Columbus at 6-1 between
TB and Boston, pretty damn impressive. Boston recovered in large part to Task elevating in G4 and G6 and outdueling Bob.

So tired of the revisionist history on display here and the lack of analysis regarding 2019.

Incidentally, I am a Bruins fan.

  8. My main concern with the bruins is the goaltending but not in the sense most are bringing up.

Neither guy has played more than 2 in a row other than early in the season when swayman got hurt. So not only do they not have any playoff pedigree, neither 1 of them is used to playing every night like they will be asked to in the playoffs

  9. Their bottom 9 and 3 pairs plus 2 goalies are all very strong, a LOT of depth in this group is impressive.

  10. Tampa didnt break every record like the Bruins are doing this year and the Bruins have 4 better line than Tamp had! The Bruins have much more depth than the entire league.

  11. Bruins second line is most teams first line. Having an elite defenseman on the ice for every shift is a big advantage making it difficult for opponents to score. Teams will have trouble matching up with Boston. Playoffs are a new season, but I can not foresee another team beating Boston four games in 12 days. I too was wrong about this years team.

  12. As a diehard Leaf fan….I bow down to the Bruins organization. A perennial Stanley Cup threat for years. Always seem to be making the right additions and Marchand has bought in to playing hockey and knocking off the childish behaviour. Bergeron is in the same sentence as Matthews and McDavid and their 3rd and 4th line made up of nobody’s are 2nd liners on most teams. Yes I’m jealous, but I will never quit on beloved Leafs.

  13. Shannon is right, the Bruins play a brand of hockey, or at least their team IDENTITY very closely resembles playoff hockey, so that's what gives so many of us confidence in them, where as with the 2018-2019 Tampa Bay Lightning, they played very VERY differently. They were a high flying all-out offensive minded team which doesn't translate as well to the playoffs, so no wonder Torts's lock it down system he had the Jackets playing was so effective in shutting the Lightning down. Bruins on the other hand can almost grind teams out for pucks and then cycle them fairly effectively for the best quality scoring chance. Almost sounds like the perfect formula for playoff success as much as I hate to admit it. Goaltending concerns are fair, although Colorado didn't get elite goaltending from Kuemper last post-season. With how well Ullmark is playing, I should think one would believe he can at least do what Kuemper did last season, as this Bruins team is a better defensive team than last year's Avs were.

  14. Not sure this is domination in the same sense as Tampa, or other teams.

Perhaps it's time to sit back, learn, cuz apparently they're teaching everybody something. They're not blowing people away consistently, they're battling for every damn game. Team owner, team president and GM has turned a multimillion-dollar corporation over to the vision of hockey players- not one coach's rigid "system"

Most sports pundits and fair weather fans wrote them off. They somehow can put their mindsets and sports iq at the level of elite athletes?

Disrespecting Pasta, waste the prime of his career on some fun "cup reunion?" instead of having faith & being intrigued by players' vision, off the ice.

As if bergeron and krejci we're going to make fools of themselves in their golden years, after everything they've accomplished? They know themselves best

-not the wannabe fans & sports pundits!

So I'm not sure this is even worth discussion, perhaps we should be asking more questions than thinking we know based on the past. Cuz everybody's been wrong wrong wrong.

This domination is like an ongoing chess match – they've got 65 minutes & OT shootouts to figure it out. That seems to be the plan-keep playing till we figure it out

Evidently, they're figuring it out – from Jacob lauko, Bergie, Monty, all the way up to Sweeney

They're telling us exactly how they're doing it game-by-game learning, readjusting.

Every moment, every day, every opportunity, with every staff member of the bruins.

Even the video surveillance team has won games… The team gave the video guys the puck after the game in the locker room!

That's not domination in the same sense that we have seen throughout hockey history.

Ullmark has a career because of medical technology, he was playing injured with Buffalo-he's in Boston now with top trainers, nutrition.

Normally, his career would be pretty much done in another 2-4 years as backup someplace. He was not fully rehabbed when he started with the bruins, but we got him there & his new custom gear, quickly.

These aren't the big bad Bruins. Cuz they can't go out there and just play hockey anymore.

This is a well-oiled refined, winning machine.

And if everything holds, pretty much as it is through next season? They can do back-to-back Cups.

He might have another year or two before other teams catch up to what they're doing, how they're doing it.

And it's more about off the ice, than on.

What other team has this number of elite level players for Gatorade and gas money contracts?

Bergie, krejci, Ratt – are a total of $12.5 mil, for that much talent? Less this season – Marchand was on LTIR

    So this "domination?"-
Very different look in this era

We're talkin lawyers, accountants who can do NHL funny money.

Cuz there's plenty of talent all over the NHL-it's a matter of getting it all under one salary cap, at the right time, right place.

    Domination?

Depth. That physically wears down teams, by making them skate constantly

has more stamina, figures a way to squeak by before the 60 minutes is up.

  15. If one of the possible negatives to come out of this is the Bruins goal tending I’m going to have to say, I like their chances

  16. Kevin; Can You say why the Bruins not play the veteran Lumley in 1958 Final VS MTL??? Simmons let in soft goals at critical times, thus denying Boston the Stanley Cup???
