1. There's no doubt, in response to some tweet from the Leafs, the job isn't done. That's although the clinching of a playoff spot will hopefully mean less of a distraction for members of that team as they prepare to later this week host the Panthers.

  2. JT is having a great year. Headed towards a solid 80+ point season ✅. Solid

  3. Panthers are on a terrible skid…. Wednesday the Leafs should spank them.

  4. Tampa tossed 5 picks away for Jeannot 😅…. and that's ALL they did at the deadline…. Crazy

  5. Corey Perry is a horrific MINUS -26 this year….that means it's been easy to score on Tampa's fourth line.

  6. If Toronto can find a way to get the first two at home steal one in Tampa Bay I can see them winning in 5 but yeah that's only a prediction it's Tampa Bay I'm not counting them out and for Toronto we all know the story they just need to be ready and focus and don't think about the next round and I agree with David no more game 7s for the Maple Leafs they haven't learned since 2013

  7. There's still 3 teams ahead of the Leafs in the conference so if looking at the big picture they should still be trying to jump Carolina and Jersey imo

  8. Job's not done. Anything less than the conference finals is a failure.

Florida had to do a lot of things that hurt their team in the short term to get Tkachuk. Almost all of the harm landing on them this year. Even if they miss the playoffs it was still the right move.

In the last four years Tampa has played almost a season more than the Leafs. Maybe it is finally taking its toll. But they weren't good going into the playoffs last year either and we all know how that ended.

Marner or Matthews would have a better time if Keefe stopped going out of his way to make easy for other teams to get their shutdown players out against them.

Liljegren has played around 150 games. It normally takes about 300 games to make an NHL defenseman.

  9. You boys rock! What about home ice pass the first round? Does that matter still? Thanks for the content gents!

  10. The standings as they are now in the east are exactly how they will be as of game 82

  11. Great to see Leafs in the playoffs and they’ve had another good regular season. Leaf fans are remaining pretty quiet that there is about a 50 % chance Leafs record will go – zero in ten attempts – to win a playoff series. Going 0 for 10 or even 0 for 9 in the playoffs is how this Leafs core will be remembered in the long term. Good to see how loyal and passionate Leaf fans are after all these playoff disappointments. Hope they are ready should another happen this spring.

  12. I don't know about you guys, but I don't see a team going into the playoffs hitting on all cylinders. Despite the big boys, the Leafs don't score enough. Their goal tending has been solid, their defence looks ok on balance, but Liljegren and Reilly need to find their game again. Maybe when O'Reilly gets back things will change. I worry about how the injury may affect his shot, but if he's ok, he's more than capable of driving a really strong third line that can defend AND score. There are still some leaks that need to get plugged if they want to win more than one round.

  13. If Matthew Knies 1 reg season game for the Leafs this year after the college playoffs, it would make him ineligible to play for the Marlies. They also will think long and hard about whether they play him at all this year, losing a year of his 3 year entry level deal may or may not be worth the value they would get from him this year. They left cap room for him to sign so we will just have to wait until they decide if there is a need at all, and if he is willing to ink a deal.

  14. It was 2004 when Toronto won a first round of the playoffs I think this year they will be going to the second round of the playoffs go Leafs go 🏒

  15. if vasey shows up in playoffs , it could be dangerous like last season coming back 3-2 to win series. Leafs always had trouble vs hot goalies including this regular season, like vs NYI last week
