  1. They played a great game. 3 on 3 doesn’t exist in the playoffs and Sportsnet can suck a fat one for the commentators they employ

  2. AduroPinquis

Do the Bruins really need help from the refs? Would love to hear an explanation for not calling the Bruins for a face off violation when they clearly hit the puck first with their glove, which would negate a penalty on Kampf.

Can’t be upset with the Leafs play this game though, that was a great road game that could have easily gone their way.

  3. leafman4000

Like clockwork. Playing a hockey team and the officials yet again

  4. RestartNick

I wish we could have more instances in the league of refs being like “oopsie, we made a mistake” but I guess the Leafs are the exception

  5. #MAN I HATE BOSTON!

Just needed to let it out.

  6. oatmealleafer

Nylander-Tavares-Marner line was fucking abysmal and our worst line by a mile

  7. Bonedog123

Game well played. Plenty to be proud of.
    Refs are gonna ref.

  8. jdragon3

Id say we played pretty well considering our 2nd best dman was in the pressbox

  9. Kinglokner16

Craig Simpson so anti Maple Leaf on a Maple Leaf broadcast… but keep telling us Sportsnet loves us

  10. Significant_News_638

The Leafs need to get the powerplay going. It’s been a real problem in the last few playoffs. This game was a perfect example – that was really a playoff style game. They had chances with the PP to build that lead and just couldn’t do so to pull away.

On the bright side, I don’t need to listen to that one commentators drunken slurred speech. Holy fuck that was grating.

  12. Malanny

Does Tampa losing at least clinch us home ice?

  13. funsuppository

Craig Simpson was more excited than Pastrnak

  14. pikley1

Lol I don’t understand how they decide to change it after already discussing it. So tired of sports these days. See y’all in the playoffs. 🙁

  15. 23takolo23

Broke up Jarnkrok-Matthews-Marner when they were lighting up the league and Matthews was playing his best of hockey of the season, to get Tavares and Nylander hot and now all four are going cold. Elite coaching from Keefe here

  16. Ellicrom

1 point and no injuries, I’ll take it 😌

  17. BravoBet

Holl played super well tonight. Big hits, big takeaways.

  18. ifonlyihadaname

Always entertaining when we play the bruins, do we really have to complain about something every game? The buds played hard, that game could’ve gone either way

  19. theguyishere16

That reviewed non-reviewable penalty is bullshit. Bruins should be fined for playing the replay. Dont tell me they « decided » not to call it after. The refs saw the fucking replay. Absolute clown show league.

  20. nthensome

I’ll be honest, they played a solid game.

Just glad there is no 3 on 3 in the playoffs

  21. DeCipherr17

Bro why do they make plays non reviewable if the refs are just gonna watch the replay on the big screen and listen to the fans on close calls? That cost us the game.

  22. JediKnight5313

I can’t stand losing to Boston, but if they play like that for 7 games they will beat Tampa.

  23. Dergle_McChurgleson

Anyone saying that was the correct call in OT is missing the point. They literally saw the fucking replay on the Jumbotron and changed their minds. It’s a non-reviewable call. And no chance Toronto gets the same benefit if the roles are reversed.

Anyway, pretty great game and it looks like we can clinch tonight and rest up going into the games that actually matter. Fuck Boston, they don’t scare me.

  24. Wanderson90

Even if we replace the refs with a super advanced A.I. it will still fuck the leafs over because the training data will be heavily biased against the leafs.

    There’s no end in sight.

  25. Aidsinuranus

Boston sucks my balls. Good night.

  26. Cuthbert & Simpson are goons. Can’t fucking stand SN

  27. CamThompson

My biggest takeaway from this game is how far we’ve come from that February game against the Bruins? We didn’t have Matthews – but do you remember all the talk after that one? Leafs got pushed around, Leafs can’t play playoff hockey, blah blah blah.

We played pretty solid, very structured hockey tonight. We’re every bit as physical as Boston, our defense looks just as good. I’m not sure I love the Nylander – Tavares – Marner line, I don’t think it’s dominant enough offensively to justify taking one of them away from Matthews. But overall, good game and hopefully enough to clinch home ice over Tampa.

  28. InternationalBrick76

Unacceptable effort from Nylander tonight. If the goal scoring isn’t there you find other ways to contribute. He’s been a one trick pony for a long stretch here.

  29. BackTo1975

Here’s the positive. This team plays differently with O’Reilly in the lineup. That was a solid game, just dropped at the end.

Also, fuck everything about the Bruins. Got stuck watched the Boston stream at the end. All that about the penalty was sickening. It was like Kampf had shot somebody. And what the idiots were saying didn’t match what was actually on the screen.

And how in the sweet fuck does that get reversed? Gave the Bruins a nice time out there and momentum. Leafs had the momentum and I think they’d have killed that off of not for that fuckery.

  30. AustichMavarlander

Its actually disgusting they reversed that call. Its not reviewable, they show replay and refs watch on jumbo and change it? Semi pro joke of a league. Good game otherwise, but the refs really think theyre the 3rd team on the ice

  31. RattledRed

Leafs were the better team, Boston and the Reffs do what they do.

We are a top team, we can outplay the best.

We are going to clinch Home ice tn.

    No injuries.

    Good game bois!

  32. swint6996

Keefe is galaxy-braining this whole operation…

    Jarnkrok – Matthews – Nylander

    Tavares – ROR – Marner

    Bunting – Kerfoot – Acciari

    ZAR – Kampf – Lafferty

    McCabe – Brodie

    Gio – Holl

    Rielly – Schenn

    Samsonov

    Woll
