1) This is why I’m really liking Scorofeyev. Idk if he’s this years answer, but going forward, he could bring a major scoring touch this team needs.
2) This is one of those times when I’m very much willing to put it on Eichel, as the article did. He’s a great shooter, but he’s got 2 major problems with his shots in the power play. For starters, they’re coming from so far out. And then, he’s trying to snipe. Shooting from that far out just doesn’t work unless you’re taking a One-timer, but in this case it forces the goalie to move. Or through traffic that’s looking for a tip or rebound. Eichel doesn’t create either of these.
I really liked the Overload they were doing during that great span. Puck moved around the side of the wall, couple quick passes, and then right onto the doorstep for a tap in. So much chaos, so many dangerous opportunities for a shot.
I’d like to see Eichel at point, Smith on the wall (for one-timer of pass across to doorstep), Marchy behind the net, Dorofyev on door step, Pietrangelo top of weak-side circle.

I think if we put Dorofeyev on the PP line he will step up in short order. I think he is more aggressive in shooting.

Big brain meme moment for me here: Brandon Pirri. We only need him to have that weird hot streak for the playoffs.

That’s Brendan Brisson’s music.
(I know he’s not quite ready. But soon…)

Last night Marchessault shot 4 one timers in a row. They just need to get him practicing more so he can hit the corners
