Kraken Clinch Playoffs dans la deuxième année, une réussite inattendue

Ron Francis a clairement eu un plan de match dont il a refusé de s’écarter, même lorsque l’équipe a connu une mauvaise année. 1. Gourde going to Seattle was a was equivalent to Dan Cloutier going to VAN. Makes me a fan of the team because of a player.

  2. I wish the Sharks benefited from the same expansion rules the Knights and Kraken got. Sharks were not allowed to draft Lindros lol. That said, nice to see Seattle in the playoffs so soon.

  3. Let's be honest though, if it wasn't for Winnipeg and Nashville going head to head in the second round, Vegas doesn't go to the Finals in their first season.

  4. I picked Kraken to be Top 4 in Pacific so not surprised at all. I had predicted they would make Playoffs within first three years. Ron Francis signing Grub set them back 3 to 5 years instead of sticking with better cheaper Vanacek. Biggest problem was lack of RHD so signing Schultz really helped that along with Borgen. Dunn is more of a PP guy they traded for Megna if wanted to move Soucy. Kings should have rolled dice claiming Driedger putting Quick on Waivers. Stars might be their best chance to Win. Knights would be cool to see them play. Martin Jones ONly Chance to get into 2nd round taking Sharks to SCF. Grub couldn't win in Post Season with Capitals or Avalanche he wont do it for Seattle ;). Tolvanen was Huge Pickup too :).

  5. I feel bad for Columbus fans. If Seattle manages to win a playoff series this year (and the outlook's currently looking very good), the CBJ will cement themselves as the biggest failure in the entirety of professional hockey. Took 'em nineteen years to accomplish it, and it's looking like it may be even longer before they get their next one. Freaking yikes.

  6. That road trip back in January where they went 8-0 and gave Boston their first home loss was incredible. That's a big reason they made the playoffs this year and it bodes well for their playoff changes to be able to play on the road.

  7. It’s not surprising at all that they made the playoffs in year 2 and Vegas in year 1. These expectation drafts were completely unfair, especially compared to the teams from the 90’s 00’s just look at their records on your board. That’s a real expansion draft.

  8. Warms my heart seeing a 2nd year team making the playoffs while my team for the 3rd year in a row is sitting home.

  9. Never thought I'd be saying this so fervently but I am praying that we sign Sprong and keep him on. Same goes for Vince Dunn lock him up for goooood please. 🙂

  10. Once Seattle grabbed Tolivanen off of waivers from Nashville playoffs were pretty much a done deal. Great moves from the Front Office

  11. A great season for sure, but I have questions whether it's sustainable. They could easily miss next go in and out of the playoffs in the future unless they add more pieces

  12. Seattle’s away record is very impressive, so I don’t think we mind not having home advantage in the playoffs

  13. As a Stars fan, I am still mad that they had left Jamie Oleksiak available in the expansion draft to begin.

  14. Seattle was better last year than their record showed. Injuries to Tanev and Schwartz really hurt them and they had a lot of bad luck on the ice.
I think Ron Francis is building another Carolina

  15. Hey, Detroit was in the western conference when they won their 4 cups so Seattle being in the Metro and having a crazy travel schedule may not even matter.

  16. The kraken have 7 Stanley cup winners on their roster, I can wait to see how they do in the playoffs

  17. If your favorite NHL team isn't making the play offs. A simple solution is, send your no play off team packing tp another city. Then ask the NHL for a new expansion team. The league will help you make the play offs, right away! Salt Lake City wins the Stanley cup. The league will make sure you win the draft lottery. Tough sh!t. Ottawa, Arizona, Detroit, Columbus & Nashville! You don't count.

  18. Seattle also had that amazing road trip of 7-0. Those 14 points and 7 wins is approximately 16% of their totals for the year. Early wins help for playoff pushes!!

  19. Well, with the Hawks irrelevant at this time I was looking for another Western Conference team to adopt …this one was it …Very hard working balanced play with no Superstars throw in an ex Tampa Bay Lightning player. A lot of guys you would call retreads but on this team have found a new home and a new life. I do wish they had a solid Number One Goalie but you can't have everything. This will likely be addressed off season. Obviously little pressure on the team to move forward in the Playoffs especially if the Avs are their first round opponent. That being said would still like to see Burakovsky back in the lineup against his old team.

  20. I’d like to see them get a tough guy defenseman, and good goalie to go toe to toe with the oops contract that is Grub.

  21. Good to see Seattle make the playoffs. It's good for the league and for hockey when expansion teams do well especially early on in their existence. Speaking of those early Sharks teams that were a tough out, I put most of that on goaltender Arturs Irbe. Irbe was sensational between the pipes on those teams in the playoffs (much like he was later on in Carolina). A great example of the importance of goaltending in the postseason.
