  1. people saying shane wright was bad last year with kingston are trippen, in the playoffs he had more then a point per game, along with a almost 100 point season… how is that bad at all???

  2. K so number 1 rangers are better then a 8 seed talent wise they had a hard time meshing toxic locker room coaching change mid season they just did a great job vs that Windsor offence

  3. All the hate Wright gets is truly astounding. I think its just habs fans coping and trying to project that he is a locker room cancer cause he didn't smile enough when drafted I guess. Wright has been a captain in the OHL in his exceptional year and lead a WJC team to Gold as Captain. People call him a bust cause he isn't flashy but he will never be flashy, he is much more likely to win a Selke than an Art Ross

  4. Whatever. Wright’s going to be part of a team that will have Playoff experience, and Slaf-whatever is already banged-up and playing for a tire-fire in an unforgiving market. Wright’s in no pain, whatsoever.

  5. Kitchener smoked them . Shane Wright looked invisible. However Kitchener is a better team than people give them credit for . The Midwest division is always stacked and often the West finals are truly the OHL finals . East just lately has been getting a little better. Windsor also didn't have goaltending .

  6. I think the reason why Wright fell is there’s just to many things to be concerned about. He seems to disappear a lot. Like, other than that one nice goal he had in the gold medal game I barely noticed him in the world juniors and he looked pretty terrible in the nhl even compared to other kids around his age, this is also two years in a row he’s been invisible in the playoffs. He hasn’t really looked first overall caliber. In all fairness no one from that draft did but I feel like there was just less risk with picking Slafkovsky, Nemec or Cooley than there was with Wright.

  7. I watched Both game 3 and 4 at the aud and Shane wright really did not stand out to me at all Matthew Maggio looked way better

  8. why is it shane wrights fault they lost windsor top 3 scores combined for 261 points all season those guys combined for 6 points blame those guys

  9. Good on Montreal for not giving into the masses and taking the “consensus first overall pick”. Bad on them for not taking Cooley.

  10. yes. yes. your beloved habs made the right move. the bones of that trade must have put a ton of pressure on him and i feel for the guy. i hate 3 teams in the nhl and the habs are one of them in large part because of the fan base. my son lives in montreal and he can't stand them.

  11. I was literally reading that tweet by The Habitant as you started reading it lol.

  12. Why would an OHL team trade that much for someone who will be in the NHL in the next couple of seasons?

  13. as a viewer over the course of the season since the trade in January, he hasn't been too consistent to begin with, whether or not he's played in every game, is an issue between him and the coach, right. Game 1 he gets a goal and an assist and game 3 an assist in the playoffs and that's not getting it done. Maybe he was working on his faceoffs and various other aspects of his game, then just point scoring? Outplayed in Game 1 by Valade and Pinelli. Brzustewicz, D, scores the same number of points as Wright ???

  14. Alright listen we gotta stop with this bust crap thos guy hasn't even played a full NHL season he was just drafted I understand he was exceptional status and all that but not everyone is McDavid ok we are calling kids busts a year or two after there drafted wright hasn't even had a full year of development after being drafted yet look a laffy in New York he was supposed to be alot better too he can still break out Wright is 2 years younger then laffy we gotta stop expecting everyone too be McDavid out of the gate or everyone too play right after being drafted some guys take time it hasn't even been a year everyone wants everything too happen right away now that's not how it works everyone needs too pump the breaks on prospects and calm down example owen tippet hes comming into his own now he was drafted in 2017 same thing with rassmussen he would have had like a 50 point season if he didnt get hurt we gotta chill on these prospects and let them develop at year 5 and 6 then u can call them a bust

  15. The Krakens don't need Wright to be "assertive" because they already have their first line centre Matty Beniers who is the best forward from the 2021 draft.

  16. True, but Slafkovsky didn’t exactly win the Calder either….. Time will tell.

  17. It's amazing that Mtl has time to reflect on this while also packing for a fishing trip.

  18. Canadians fans boasting after slafs faceplant of a year and mesars slightly decent year is hilariously on brand

  19. McDavid has never been to a Stanley Cup final… he must suck. There is no way it could be his team has never been built for the playoffs. Also leave it to someone that calls themselves "The Habitant" to not know what "objective" means lol

  20. can't believe what a bum this guy is and how fast it happened lol

his career peaked at 16 lol

  21. To the Habitant I ask, how is Slavkosky playing? Did he "dominate" this year, as everyone predicted? What's comical, EVERY Hab fan celebrated Wright, up to the moment Montreal declared their choice…then everyone went simple for the bew kid and turned on Wright. I wish every youngster the very best and couldn't hate any one of them. Wright getting bounced is not on him and anyone who played at a decent level would know this. Wright is only one player. Maybe the goalie was awful and you have to look to the Coach. This story is silly and means nothing. I hope oth kids have long ahd successful careers.

  22. Wright getting only 7 points with Team Canada, spoke volumes to me.

  23. Should’ve play nhl instantly, he might’ve grown up faster than sending him down. We love to send young players down but if they are made for the big league it’s a break moment they have to try
