  1. any given nite……the worst team>>> lets say the Hawks or Azirona s >>> can beat the very best teams! say Carolina or Edmontons…thats what makes hockey so cool! And Cowgarys take note! You"ve won 1 (( one )) more Coupe in the last 57 years than the Maple Laffs!

  2. I got a good chuckle out of the highlights.

They're so undeserving of respect that I call 'em Panthers West. It hasn't caught on, but I'll keep plugging away.

Also, I get a ton of joy hearing you absolutely shit on goalies from a tremendous height. But I have to stick up for my boy Vladar; none of this is his fault and while he may not be great, he's a damn sight better than Wedgewood.

  3. Im a flames fan and I hope to god they don’t make it. I haven’t watched a game since december, these guys suck and don’t deserve it. Owners need a kick in the pants to blow the entire organization up from top to bottom and rebuild the thing, and hopefully this is finally it.

AS SOON as gaudreau was leaving I said to blow the whole thing to shit and use the 22-23 season to rebuild. Why? Here’s a couple reasons — Calgary has been putting off an inevitable rebuild since the Iginla Phaneuf Kiprusoff era. It needs to be done. Our prospect pool is slowly diminishing, this could have been a great opportunity to trade Tkachuk for picks & prospects. We have 2-3 guys that may make the jump in the next few years but other than that, there’s not a lot upcoming. Another reason to have rebuilt this season? Connor Bedard. One more reason — zero team identity. When you think of Calgary what do you think? Overpaid underachieving choke artists. They need to build some identity. Look at Colorado — explosive offence and guys who refuse to quit. Boston — hard nosed gritty two way hockey. These guys need an identity. Does this fall on Sutter? Yes and no. As a coach you have to adapt to the new style of players, although the players are arguably a lot softer than they were even 10 years ago.

Since the cup run in ‘04 the Flames have been so painfully average and it has been so frustrating as a Calgarian to root for this team. It is truly astonishing that after nearly two decades we still look like the exact same team year after year with the same god damn result. Blow the thing up before I personally go flood the Saddledome again. That dump of a barn is probably better off as a swimming pool anyways.

    Thanks for the vid Paul

  4. it sucks that this team has turned into the maple leafs and cant win a game against terrible teams but manage to win against good teams it makes no sense

  5. Fun fact: 3 of Chicago's 25 wins were all against the Flames this year. Chicago managed to sweep the season series against the Flames. Definitely don't deserve to be in the playoffs after that.

  6. Kadri is not very good and hasn't been for a while. I lay no blame on Sutter. Guy is exactly what he claims to be and last year that was Jack Adams material.

  7. Do or Die tonight Flames. Better pull out all the stops and skills and beat the Jets.
Don't see it happening. They're done is my prediction for tonight.
    4-2 Jets i'm calling.

  8. I'm mostly OK with the lineup.. Looch is gone next year. Get rid of Vladar and bring up Wolf.
Sutter and the coaching staff has to go. Bring up the kids..

I mean.. what other organization has guys like Pelletier, and Phillips either stuck in the minors or sitting in the press box?? Pelletier had one bad giveaway on the 6th goal in an 8-2 blowout.. hasn't seen the ice since.. Meanwhile Sutter is double shifting Lucic in the last 5 mins of a game down a goal..
Huby's been pretty bad.. but how many cross seam passes have you seen him make/attempt this year??? 2? I'm almost certain Sutter has told him 'if you pass the puck cross seam, I'm benching you' Great thing to do to one of the best puck distributors in the league..How many rushes have you seen when they COULD carry the puck into the zone, but they just dump it in?? I'm certain Sutter has told players they're getting benched if they try to carry the puck into the zone..
So yea, I think the team is mostly OK (we also need a Captain named) But Sutter has to go, he's very clearly the reason for this disappointing season.. remember when CGY started the year like 5-2, and then after 1 bad period, Sutter completely juggled those lines and never put them back together all season?? Riding Marky even when he's playing bad?

  9. Sutters system works. The stats prove it. You know what else the stats prove? Their defensive core and goaltending is atrocious. They need new tenders. I say trade off Vladar, get new blood in and make Marky the back up if you can. They need better five on five defense. Least shot on team but some how losing games. That tells me your tending sucks, and the defense has holes. I notice there are a lot of breakaway and 2 on one chances. They pinch a lot and seem to forget to cycle a player up at times. It makes it really easy for other teams to take advantage off. Just my thoughts though. I really feel like if they get their tending and defense under control. They can easily make a cup run with this core. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be. You just traded off your two biggest stars. There are going to be growing pains. The fans making things worse is not going to help. Have faith. If come this time next season, things are still this bad, then maybe worry.

  10. The bottom line is that Calgary should fire Treliving before making any decisions on the coaching staff after the season is over. The guy has been a disaster after the Flames end up losing Johnny for nothing and later decides to trade Matthew for another guy that didn't want to play for Calgary. The problems for Calgary come from the top of the organization and a clean up is needed to fix the team.

  11. As a Flames fan, we should have just done a full on rebuild after Johnny left. Instead of going all in for Bedard, we're not the Wild before Kaprizov: at best a perennial first-second round exit. Rebuild around Wolf, Pelletier, and Coronado

  12. 15 ot losses, all I can say. close but not so much, good thing the jets are worse and their core has been together far longer
