Hirose has been an absolute delight to watch the last few games. Truly have to give it up to him for how he has been able to come in and be so consistent and make the simple, heads up play.

I hope nobody disagrees with me in saying that if I had to choose between a Stanley cup, or the amazing broadcast crew we’ve been so lucky to call ours… I’d take these guys every single year.
A championship makes us as fans happy for a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things. Just look as disgruntled fanbases of teams who have won in the last 5 years, it’s fleeting.
But every year, for ~82 games… we got to enjoy John and John. I wish we could have heard them overjoyed from a cup win just as we all would be, but I’m just so happy and truly feel so lucky that I got to spend a majority of my life up to this point listening to these two goofballs be best friends while my favourite team played.

As someone who was cheering the Isles on because of Bo, his comments tonight were so unnecessary. It felt like a weak attempt to win over Isles fans and make them forget about how underwhelming he has been for them.
This fanbase supported the hell out of him considering he was the captain of such a terrible era and showed no emotion during it. Talk about burning a bridge.
Definitely feels like the Captaincy is Hughes’ to lose right now, looking forward to what comes next season!

Does anyone else remember listening to Shorthouse do Canucks play by play on radio? The TV broadcasters doing the Canucks games were so awful at the time that I’d mute the TV and crank the radio. The delay way very real but that’s how far back I remember hearing John do the Canucks games. Gonna miss John and John but sheesh I’m getting old.
