Blackwood played arguably his best game of the season after Zacha scored his 2nd goal. 38 saves with a 950 save percentage. Anyone saying he cost the Devils the game is a certified clown…🤡

Blackwood historically has played well against Boston.
The Devils, although young, fast and highly-skilled, probably aren't best-suited going up against the heavier (or dirtier) teams like Boston. That doesn't mean they can't win but it'll be more challenging than usual.
I'm looking forward to seeing Luke Hughes take the ice as a Devil. I don't expect him to contribute immediately but it'll be cool to see him get his feet wet, perhaps as early as Tuesday.
Us as fans are freaking out about Luke having a year of ELC burned. Yeah, it sucks. But I trust Fitz that getting him acclimated is more valuable and important to next year's team than saving the extra year of ELC. Especially since Graves/Severson or both are gone in the offseason it will be crucial to try and get Luke up to speed as best they can going into next year. Even if it's only one or two regular season games and practices, it's still time with the team, learning the system and speed, getting time with Devils coaches – worth losing the year to try giving him the head start he'll need for us to ultimately be successful in 23-24.
I personally like the Luke Hughes signing up early yeah a year has been burned which sucks but he gets to spend time part of the team and be in and around a play off environment valuable experience and gets up to speed on how his new teammates play.
