Still many holes to address. We’ll likely know if playoffs are a possibility within the first 15 games. They are not a team that can go from last to cup like St. Louis. But, playoffs is the right goal. Simple!
I feel like Koskinen having competition will help. He was a lot better when he had to challenge Talbot.

Mike Smith will be a huge key to this season’s success! But let’s pray that he doesn’t get hurt, like his past, all to often…but his compete level and puck -handling ability to be like a 3rd dman to get pucks up and out of our zone when in trouble.. which the Oil D and forward help struggles large with.. is exactly what we needed..maybe teach Koskinen some serious skills, wisdom..if so..we make it to playoffs

Jerseys are hideous..way too much orange…and we really didnt improve much.. Holland is trying to sell a bridge to everyone and those of us who have been around the block a time or 2 can see it. This lineup is pathetic.
When James Neal first got traded to Pittsburgh, he got 1 goal in his first 20 games. Things got much better after that, but the team and fans were patient with him. Oilers fans are only patient if they are winning. If that happens here, (Lucic like offense) he will get boo’d. I’m concerned about that.

It’s unbelievable to see the negativity from these quote in quote “oiler fans”. Come on guys! Give this group a chance to succeed.. trust me I think we’ve all been kicked one too many times in the gut by a lack lustre squad out on the ice in years past but we have a different looking group this year with a different mentality.. let’s let the boys show and prove before we start judging them.
