  1. I wish I had a nickel for every time I heard about some guys awesome athletic talent, and/or, "the skies the limit on some guys potential". I like what Mike Ditka used to say, that all those stats about a players athleticism are overrated; what counts is what they do in pads.

  2. Ppl saying get a lineman in the first round like poles haven't showed he can find good linemen in the later rounds…. Compared to the year before last the line did much better. The fact our receivers couldn't create separation and jf1 not trusting the butterfingers at wr had a lot to do with the line breakdowns. Robinson would change the game for the bears y'all crazy

  3. Idk how this is even a conversation when we signed 2 RB this off-season and our biggest needs are on O line and D line. Just crazy

  4. We could really use a RB like Bijan, but we should prioritize OL and DL at first. I would only take Bijan if we traded down and got an extra pick in the late first round or early second round.

  5. We need a rb and cb address the OL and the rest of defense in later rounds 1st round u should always take the best player available instead of picking based on needs

  6. All these comments on O-linemen: "I think…" "he looks…" could be…" "…potential". Everyone agrees they are PROSPECTs. A solid prospect but still a prospect. Nobody is saying guaranteed All Pro. Meanwhile there is a generational SURE THING All Pro staring us in the face. Bijan might be the best RB since Barry Sanders. That's not exaggeration. He is so good that even though RB is the LEAST VALUED position in the NFL they are still talking about him being a top 10 pick. Because the film don't lie. Honestly don't know how you stop a JF/Bijan backfield. Bears split wide 4 WR eliminates an 8 man front. So you got to stop them with 7 and/or single coverage on DJ Moore. Il say it again SINGLE COVERAGE ON DJ MOORE. One more time for the slow people. FORCED SINGLE COVERAGE ON DJ MOORE. If its a pass play, one LB/Safety drops into coverage? Now there is 6 men in the box. Another LB shadows JF – Right? That leaves 5 Defenders. So a LB is one on one vs Bijan? Have you watched the tape on this guy? There isn't a single LB in this league that can do that. AND now the D is limited to a 4 man rush to contain JF or get to him before he can find DJ Moore? Bears win at least 3 match-ups in this scenarios. Moore in single coverage, Bijan and JF 1on1 vs LB. Any play that all 3 defenders don't win their 1 on 1 nightmare matchup is a huge gain. How do you stop that? I dare you. I double dog dare you to blitz. That either leaves Bijan uncovered in the open field or if JF gets away… he's gone. Bears with Bijan could set the record for most TD's over 50 yards. Bears led the league last year with 3014 Rushing yards (5th highest in NFL history) on 33 carries a game averaging 5.4 yards. with slightly better than average running backs! Put the best RB in the league in there with WR's that demand respect and we can up that 20% to 40+ carries a game averaging 6.4 yds. Thats over 250 rushing yds per game. 4000 in a season. Can it be done? YES! Teams are not built to stop the run anymore. Look at the record book. 3 of the top 5 team rushing records have been in the past 4 years. The ravens have the record in 2019 with 3296 yds – they finished #1 in the AFC. They lost to the Titans in the playoffs who out rushed them 217 185. Next is the 1978 NE Patriots with 3165 rush yds. They won their division (with Steve Grogan QB?) and lost to Oilers in playoffs who out rushed them 174-83. 3rd is the 1973 Bills with 3088. The couldn't beat Miami who won the Superbowl that year so they did not make the playoffs. 4th is the 2020 Ravens with 3071 won first round. 5th is 2022 Bears. 6th – 78 chiefs in rebuilding year. 7th – 1984 Bears losing NFC championship to Superbowl champ 49's. 8th – 75 bills. 9th 76 Steelers lost AFC championship game. 10th 72 Dolphins – undefeated. Thats 7-10 winning at least one playoff game, 4 Conference championships and 1 superbowl. The thing that stopped the bears offense last year was no WR's so the Defenses could cheat. JF will not win a Superbowl passing. Dont try to make him. Be who we are. Commit to the run more than any team in decades, at a time when defenses are built to stop passing. 40+ rushes with 40+ minutes time of possession keeps your D off the field and wins playoff games. Or they can play it safe, pick up a solid prospect at LT, hope he develops, spend the next 2 years upgrading WRs and Defense trying to turn JF into a pass first QB and fit into the NFL model for good but not great.

  7. Bijan is the best player in the entire draft. If he’s available at 9 he’s a no brainer. Darnell Wright could be drafted in the bottom of the first.

  8. Mike Renner is partially correct. It's logical to pick a pure right tackle when you need a right tackle. The Bears lucked out/were smart and filled the left tackle spot. Don't mess with that move. BUT right tackles are not valued as highly as lefts in the drafts. He said it isn't a reach at pick 9. YES it is. Move down first. THEN take the right tackle. Wright is projected to go 20-30.
